well, it looks like they are not accepting new registrants. I wouldn't worry too much about them then, if they can't stand new blood, they will die out eventually.

If they try to sue you over no more than this, it's predatory prosecution. They and their lawyer can go to jail and pay a fine over that. Also, you can countersue to recoup your legal fees plus a punitive award.

In the US at least, you CAN get sued if you claim you have a cure, or that something cures. Of course, THAT is CRIMINAL, so a mere citizen can just call attention to you.

AFF was down for several days around December last year due a big disagreement with Gareth and Amy and some of the members. When the site was re-started, there was something which talked about people getting sued if they did certain things, but I didn't think talking of a cure was one.

The fact is, there is NO CURE for autism. There are treatments that help some people improve from lower levels to higher levels but they still have the genetic make-up of an autistic person as it is an inborn condition. If there are co-morbids such as depression, medication can help improve coping abilities.
