I travel alone in my own town, but have made very few trips out of town by myself. When I have an out of town event, I find it much more fun to travel with someone.

Yes. Wow, definitely.
I love road trips. Sometimes my cat and I just get in the car and go. We've driven from the Northeast down to the Gulf South, exploring the Appalachians along the way. We went diagonally from the NE down to Los Angeles once, taking almost the entirety of route 66. We even came back along the southern parts of the US later that year on our way back to Florida. I also solo camp a lot (sans cat, she is not a fan of the tent life). I have run into a number of people who ask me the same question while I travel "Is it just you? Are you traveling alone?" I always found that question a little creepy. Like, why do you care? Are you planning to kidnap me in the night or something? At some point I realized though, like League_Girl said. People just don't travel alone. They don't want to.

I sometimes travel with others, but it is tedious to me. I get tired of trying to keep the other person entertained. They want to stop when I want to go. They want to eat one place, I want to eat another. Most of all, I think most people don't have anywhere near my endurance for travel. They get tired and cranky after just a few hours of silence. I also feel like I can't get to know a place properly if there is another person flapping their gums next to me the whole time.

I never travel anywhere with company; the grandeur of travel, as Jean Jacques Rousseau pointed out, is in the solitude of it.

I'm certain "normal" people travel alone all the time. I travel alone a lot, as well as everybody else I know, including people with disabilities. The only use of a companion would be to watch my luggage while I go to the bathroom. :D

Travelling alone doubles all emotions: fear, nervousness, hunger for others, joy, thrill of the adventure, and many more.

I have walked alone and had a wonderful time. I feel I become better each time I travel alone. I love reading [url=https:

It makes me smile to read of all the people who enjoy traveling alone. :) Most people are horrified that I travel alone and it is nice to see that others also enjoy, prefer, or even require it.

i wish i was able to travel out of my comfort zone. i don't have a car, but have a license and if i want to go somewhere, it usually takes about half a day to get there by bus so i hardly ever leave the town i live in where everything is within walking distance. my world would be more open if i was access to a car.

it's a lot easier to to travel when one is blessed with a travel partner.

Never really traveled alone, but I hate the thought of doing so. I always feel like I need someone who understands the world better because I'm still so lost on many things. The thought of me buying a plane ticket and flying over seas just sends aches in my stomach. But I want to travel, just not right now.

I don't travel alone. But I think, solo traveling can be something like a challenge for me as it is hard for me to stay alone for a long time, though I'm going to try it. I have already surfed the Internet and found a good Reddit community As solo travelers share their impressions and experience there, I found much useful info there. Also I was inspired by these people and their stories, so I think, I'll travel alone next time.

Yes, though not as much as when I first got out of school.

I actually booked a trip to Stockholm for next month recently. I've been abroad before, but never alone and never in Sweden (plus I don't speak the language), so I'm slightly worried... but well, I'll pull through somehow.

I'll have to travel alone since i don't have a lot of friends and the few i have don't have enough money. I wish i had rich friends but none of them are interested in things i'm interested in. They all see traveling as a means to get drunk and wasted.

To some it is. Finding different friends might help.

I wish i could. Finding friends is so difficult after you finish school.

I like to travel alone but all my life, in airports (I don't drive) people adopt me and accompany me and ruin my trip. I've seen people arrive and look around for somebody alone and make a bee-line to them/me. And they talk, and talk, and talk. Sometimes they expect me to carry their luggage. They seem to believe that alone = lonely. I keep moving to sit somewhere else.
