Hello, all. Apologies if this topic has been addressed elsewhere, but don't browse or post here very often. This is a personal essay I wrote detailing, as best I can, how exactly I fit onto the spectrum. Can you relate? I wonder how many of us fit this framework vs. the traditional "theory of mind" framework. Have doctors and/or clinicians ever told you that you "don't understand people" or that you can't "read cues" simply because you have autism, without any evidence or examples to back it up? I might write another article using whatever info I can get here, so if you're interested, please detail your thoughts and experiences as best you can. Thanks.
