What the title says. You could also use a random number generator.

I sometimes flip a coin to make decisions. I've also used random.org's coin flipper for the same.

A very wise friend told me how to do this, and it has served me well. First, write down a column of pros and one of cons. If they still seem too evenly balanced or hard to weigh, then you flip a coin. BUT - you don't do what the coin says half the time. As soon as you see the result, you will feel a little bit happy or sad, even though you didn't expect to. That's what to follow. If you have an urge to go for best two out of three, that's the same as wanting to flip the result.
