Hello , My name is James
I would like anyone who has any ideas then please say

i have asd ( Autistic Spectrum Disorder )
i have been with a girl danielle for just short of a year
with my time being with her i have recently thought she may too have some kind of simalir problems !
" i read once " that autistic people have hard times being with non-atustic or aspergerer's people
i have alot of problems as any other autistic person may have, not many people understand but she does !
she is quite arguementative she cant controll herself very well but she is very understanding with what goes on through my mind
I've come too think with all the argueing that she has a split personality, it is upsetting that one second she can be fine and the next very angry ! i no farwell it is not angermanage problems ! is paranoya a problem in most relationships?

But if anyone has any idea i would like to no about it !

Thank You ! James

Believe it or not, he was actually a member of this forum quite a while ago. Then, we started talking privately a lot. After I realized that he was not very well, he left this forum and I blocked him from all online communication. After a while, I allowed online communication with him. I then sent him an e-mail asking him how he was doing, and I got a failure delivery.

Also, he has not been online since last year.

Have you asked her what is making her angry?
Is there any apparent cause? Something in particular?

Other people often make her angry it is strange cause i can not tell when she is angry
but i would say that it could be mostly anything you say too her and the way you say it

I think I know that is happening. You are not able to recognize her non-verbal signals that say that she is getting angry.

People communicate to each other without words, by gestures, posture and the sounds of their voice. This is non-verbal language, and autistic people find it very difficult to understand non-verbal language, its like being a bit deaf. What I think is happening is that she is getting angrier and angrier but you don't notice, until she eventually screams, argues and jumps up and down. So it seems that she is suddenly angry for no reason.

It happened to me too. I had a female friend who had a short temper, but because of my AS I could not read her subtle signals that said that was getting angry, until she suddenly (from my perspective) shouted and screamed at me for no reason. I also thought she was mad. But she was not mad, I had a difficulty in reading her emotions.

The best thing to do is to tell her that you cant read her emotions and that she needs to tell you when she starts to feel upset. Otherwise, she will start to feel like you are deliberately ignoring her feelings, and you will think she suddenly get angry for no reason. One of the unfair things that women do when they are angry, is that they go very quite (the calm before the storm). This can mislead an Aspie into thinking everything is ok when it is not.

Thank you ! i feel relief that someone too can share what i feel
i will try and ask her which will probally work :)
i cant read emotions too good but if she does tell me when she is about too explode
it would make life easier !

Everytime we have a disagrement or an arguement when we both go silent that
is what comes into my mind :(

I am starting too look at this alot different and more understanding !

Thank you for your time !

My husband has AS and is quite blank in his facial expression and tone of voice, so I find it very difficult to know what his mood is. I'm NT.
