You're not the only Christian here. I used to be Catholic, now I'm just a non specific Christian.

I am a Spinoza atheist, rejecting any creator concept created by man. On the other hand, I am guardedly spiritual. I think all life is likely connected in yet undiscovered ways. Isn't that that reason enough to be ethical, charitable and reject the tribalism that to often follows organized religion.

I believe in God, but think he/she isn't religious.

I follow a kind of Christian / Buddhist / Taoist set of moral beliefs, as this feels right, although this may be because my
parents brought me up with a moral code.

I believe that God is made of goodness and truth and perhaps exists outside time and space.
I think it possible that we may join God by matching the qualities of God and losing our attachment to time and space.

I think it is possible that the Hindu idea that God may be true, i.e. God created the universe while bored, and that every one in existence is an incarnation of God from many different perspectives. God creating the universe, so that he/she/etc. can play with himself and experience everything.

Time and space being an illusion that can be lost if one is able to lose attachment, leaving truth and pure love, i.e. God, for us to merge once we are made of the same stuff so to speak.

There are strains of Buddhism that teach this. Dzogchen, for example. Teaches that it is possible to lose attachment of time and space and the illusionary nature of reality to finally see our natural state, which, a realm of white light that is made of truth and love. To be with God or perhaps part of God.

I am not religious however there is a creator.
Who created nature? Who created the Kosmos? Who created animals and man and plants and rocks and everything?
I believe the creator is omnipresent and is in us and is in and of everything.
The creator does not mind what you call him, he would prefer it if you are polite.
He doesn’t mind being called she, it’s whatever, Krishna, Allah, God, Yahweh, Jehovah or whatever name you prefer something brought “this“ into existence.
It has Always existed there was never a beginning and there will not be an end.
Our sun will eventually turn into a Red Dwarf and our planet might not last internally however the cosmos will because it is infinite.

In the future, humans will create wireless A.I. so powerful that it might as well be a "god." This powerful man-made force will have the ability to time-travel and shape matter. It will then go back and create us.

God exists I know he does. He isn't some storybook creation from tons of years ago. He created His people and sent His son Jesus Christ to deliver me from my sins.

Umm...

I hate saying the word 'dude', but...

Dude it's not like a bunch of people got together and wrote a book thats events never happened.
Dude that's never even happened in the Modern or past ages.

There IS a God.

So yes, I believe in God. 8)

-my opinion, no arguing with me please-

No you're not the only one. Not only do I believe in God, I believe God has a name, Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) and I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

That's all I'll say about that. Note me if you want more please but please be respectful about it! Thank you.

I wouldn’t be surprised if half or more of the folks here believe in a Supreme Being.

I was certainly an edgy atheist as a teenager. A big Richard Dawkins fan, always ready to debunk Christians. But I've heard some research that some people are inherently more likely to be religious. I think I'm one of those people that has a religious gene to some degree, I have always been a romantic (as in romanticism) and was fascinated by mythology. I have a sort of vague "spiritual" part of my personality that occasionally looks for God, however you wish to define that.

I think that our organized religions, though, often have a lot of baggage attached that can be used to justify all sorts of bad behavior. But I want to be clear here that I don't think, say, Christians are bad people. In fact, I think that church serves a great function to organize and strengthen communities and that we should have a widely practiced secular alternative. And many great works and deeds have been inspired by people's faith.

Me personally, I think that Shinto, or types of animism line up best with how I see the world. Where everything has a spirit and is deserving of respect. I don't believe it to be logically true, we can't measure or observe spirits, but it helps me form my worldview. I especially like how such religions tend to be smaller in scale and are generally practiced at the local level. There's no massive, powerful institution involved.
