I am extremely extroverted. I'll say 90%. There are times when I appear introverted, but it's only because there are certain people I cannot stand to be around for whatever reason. But yes, I am extroverted, which seems to be rare in Aspies.

Two people said the ink blot test is crap and I should get another doctor... well, he even admitted that it only SOMETIMES tells about a person! :)

I would consider myself an introvert.

Those inkblots all look like cats and dogs to me!

In Tony Attwood's book, it is mentioned that most "Aspies" are introverts, as reflected in that personality test that gives profiles such as "INTJ" ( I can't find the reference in the book at the moment). I remember that I had to take this test at my last job, and I came out an "INTJ"--the "I" referring to "introvert." I don't understand how an "Aspie" could be an extrovert, when most "Aspies" prefer to avoid people and social situations. That is one of the defining features of AS, I thought.

I'm an 'extroverted introvert' :P
I don't know... I have obvious moments of both see... :) I could have that minor bipolar thing... I can't remember how to spell it...

But you know what? I like those introverted moments - it makes me feel 'mystique' and if you want to study me, then good for you, because you're delving into a strange mind and you've got good taste. :P

Damn I'm becoming more and more cocky these days... but I must point out that the vast majority of things I'm modest if anything...

Please excuse the arrogance. ;) It's a joke more than anything lol I find AS as a whole interesting anyway.

Pretty much an introvert. I prefer time to myself for the most part, but I do enjoy spending time with close friends that have similar interests as me...in small amounts of time.

I am an introvert, I appear to be an extrovert to most people, though. I overpower convos, specially when it's something I am interested in. After a social event I need to go home and recharge and recharging takes a LONG time.

It's nice to see an introvert/extrovert discussion on an AS site - since i'm one who doesn't think introverts & AS people are all that far apart on the spectrum. Sometimes they're one and the same.

The introvert/extrovert terms were coined by Carl Jung. He said you have four parts to your psyche -feeling/thinking/sensation/intuition - You can be an introvert in one & an extrovert in the other - I, for example, am 3 parts introvert, but (and it was a surprise to me to recognize it) an extrovert in intuition - that means my intuition is more interested in things like trees, fish, galaxies, and what is going on with them, than in things like religous experience (ie, in the world outside me - i'm even interested in people, but i still have to avoid them).

If you really want to dig into that, get Jung's book [Psychological Types] - it's just packed with ideas, examples, etc
