From where I came from, it's a rather questionable topic. And kinda risky, even the medically prescribed kinds.

I see. Is it not well regulated in your area? I can't imagine any MAJOR risks with CBD--unless there are questionable chemicals being used in the extraction process or there are actual flaws in the extraction process. Of course there is always the risk of drug interaction (if one is taking other medications). It isn't psychoactive, and its effects are generally pretty mild if taken properly.

I'm just rambling at this point

Hmm.. it's not about simply regulations, process and it's effects a concern.

But the whole idea of possessing one :o
It's a bit complicated. But to make a long story short, possession of one can get someone killed here.

Oh wow! That is scary!
Thanks for explaining. Your original wording makes more sense now.

I've tried a bunch of different CBD products and some of them are more effective than others. Most help with pain relief, some help with mood and stress, and one even helped me focus! If you can, get them from a dispensary because you need a bit of THC to activate the CBD.

It's worth a try, and it's worth trying it in multiple forms to see which one works for you.

Medical THC is now legal in my state, but you have to register with the government to get it and I don't really want to do that. Especially because it is still schedule 1 federally. I can just see the feds rounding up everyone who is registered. And with my luck, that would include me. I'd be the test case.

Paranoid, I know. But weird stuff has happened to me that would never happen.

CBD is supposed to be legal, but again, I don't know if the law is clear on that, even if there is no THC in it.

That said, it would be nice to try it for the chronic pain. My baseline pain level is about 3 on a scale of 0-10. I've learned to live with and be (more or less) happy with that. Flares put me down into bed, sometimes for days.

I will soon be living in recreational/medical cannabis states, so I will definitely be testing out some different things. I'm really interested to see what sort of pain relief THC topicals will bring me! Your baseline is pretty close to mine (as are your flare days). Unfortunately, I've remained in flare more than baseline for much of the past few years.

I tried CBD oil and found that it made my joint pain less bad but my executive functioning worse. I've taken it a few times before bed to help with sleep. Had to stop because I started trying to conceive, and it's probably not safe for pregnancy.

I'd be interested to hear your experiences once you get where you are going.

When this started, about 25 years ago now, I was in so much pain I could not get out of bed. I could not work. It was truly awful. After a while (year or more?) I felt some better maybe once or twice a month. Gradually, trying different things, I got to the point where I had more good days than bad days and now it is only really bad pain once every couple of months. It has been a very long haul. I mention this, only because I think you can improve your symptoms with management. I hope this works for you.

I’ve been researching the properties and side effects of main drugs used for anxiety - super scary. During my research, I came across THC-free CBD oil and how parents of ASD kids have been raving about for years, and how lots of people are taking it with amazing results with little to no side effects.

The research is just now picking up and gaining more attention, so we really don’t know much about it’s long term effects, especially on growing brains. We don’t know which specific combination and strength of CBD is best, and what is the dose range that would be safer and most beneficial.

But after reading and watching so many testimonies, I am feeling very tempted to try it for myself - but I’m hesitant. I found a couple of companies that seem legit, with the independent lab report. But still.... I’m hesitant, will need to talk to my doctor about it, but most docs aren’t as knowledgeable about it yet.

Have you tried CBD oil? What are your thoughts? Did you notice any difference?

I used to do CBD but then I quit because my doctor told me they could possibly have lead and heavy metals in them.

the hybrid cbd/thc pills available in my state OTC give me a bit of relief/drowsiness if i take two at a time, or augment them with something else like valerian capsules. some stronger pot pills a nice person gave me were somewhat more effective but at the expense of some paranoia and a numb face, otherwise a similar analgesic and soporific effect i got from valium.
