The guys and girls that look like Barbie and Ken coming out of the Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch store with $150 t-shirts. It amazes me how people can be so stupid and so judgmental all at the same time...so I find it intimidating.

Also, teen girls in puffy jackets and jeans that are too tight, who wear giant hoop earrings with their hair slicked into a ponytail with six pounds of hair gel.

Yea, really hot women are the most intimidating people to me. Unless I have a girlfriend, then everything is all zen and more chicks want me as a result. If I could only be that cool when I'm single...

My mean roommate scares the s**t out of me when his angry. He is aggressive and says really insulting stuff to humiliate me. He likes to do this in front of my friends 8O.

Other than that. People who cares a lot about physical appearance. They usually make lots of comments about how people walk, sit and
eat.

I know in the arguement portion of confrontation I can outsmart them in like 3 seconds, but I sometimes worry about if it progresses to a fight.

Those are the people that I can't stand. When is that trend ever going to die out?

The sooner the better.

Almost all angry, aggressive people, as well as very loud people.

I am usually only intimidated by people when they are in groups.

Large groups of youths or teenagers are the worst because I am afraid that they will mug me. Also I suspect I am uncomfortable around them because of being bullied when I was at school by groups like this.

If it is one person on their own, I give as good as I get - in fact I am probably more likely to intimidate them! The only exceptions are if they have a weapon or if it is a pervert & I am alone with him - I've been in this situation a few times & it's pretty scary. (Fortunately I have always managed to get out of the situation.)

People who curse a lot make me very uncomfortable. I can't stand it. Do people think that cursing automatically a lot makes them cool or something? It just makes a person sound like a hick.

I also don't like being around people who seem so incredibly dead pan. I'm talking about when your going to a store or something and you try talking to them, but they just stare and give you this apathetic hi. You ask them a question and they just ignore you.

I have trouble walking by a group of youths which is strange because I am going to be 30 years old soon. Of course I can push myself going on and going right trough the group but it feels awkward and I would not be surprised if they would be able to see my uneasiness. Ok, they likely do not but that does not change things.

Groups of people laughing are an issue but I cannot say I would suspect them laughing about me, that is more like a fading memory when people did that in school.

I can really much confirm the items on the list of Ana54 who started this thread but people who whisper or value their privacy are special cases. Since I have trouble seeing hidden intentions of people I often suspect the privacy-people just not wanting contact with me but being fine with others. Whispering people could be an issue if there is background noise (and when would there not be any?) and I hate to ask people for what they have said. I do not like to whisper myself and I cannot remember when I did that for years.

I do not see why physically-fit people would intimidate me but they definitely do. I do not have a special priority for physical fitness and more or less do not understand people who do. I understand people going to the gym for health reasons but I think about those as idiots who talk about how much they would "train" and who tell "they would want to achieve something" by doing so.

I remember attenting a university which would have degrees like "sports and mathematics" or "sports and computer sciences" etc. What for? Studying sports? Medics heal people, engineers build structures and machines. But the sports people? What do they do? Run faster? Longer? Jump further? More stupid rants available...

Wow, apparently I would intimidate you for multiple reasons. By the way, don't loud and whispering kind of contradict each other (or you're just intimidated by either extreme of volume?)?

This might sound odd.

In a certain sense, everyone intimidates me except other aspies. Of course if you met me in person I act as though I'm not scared of anything and I'm not. The word scared and intimidate are two different meanings.

Why does everyone intimidate me? Mostly a biased statement but true; majority of people in this world are horribly stupid/ignorant. What's worse is since I lack the stability to give them the emotional feedback to manipulate their emotions as a normal person could, the ones with power over me scare me the worse. I'd rather not waste my time.

Those High Society types intimidate me as well. I'm glad I'm a fat, common Punker with an accent.

Except for the flat face and dead eyes and being perfectly put together I must be a very intimidating person. Maybe that's part of my problem, that's rather illuminating, maybe I can fix some of it.

People who intimidate me: Females, people in groups, other aspies, self righteous d-bags that take martial arts, very outgoing people
