Picky...yes and no.
It doesn't help that my body bypasses hunger and goes straight to nausea.
I rarely eat breakfast unless hungover.
Dislikes from worst to least - celery, artichoke, raw onion, insects (in which I include crustaceans), aubergine
Likes - chocolate, chilli, black pepper, berries, meat, sugar, curry

I like sampling a menu and enjoy different and new things... Until I work out my favourite and then tend to stick to that. (Unless it's removed from the menu....looking at you Redesdale hotel)
I seem to eat the same sandwich for lunch every day if I'm home.

I enjoyed eating at the ORs mess for the forced variety (until they removed dessert from the lunch menu, but continued charging the same price)
I prefer mixed flavours to meat and 3 veg, and bland foods I find very unappealing.(Excepting porridge)
When I was younger I often went days without solid food (as long as I had sweet baby tea)
I had doctors at the Institute of Sport perplexed why I couldn't gain (or lose) weight or put on muscle mass.

I must admit a certain relief that I've found something I can disagree with IL about...Dark Chocolate :P and this smiley still looks anaphylactic...most thread appropriate.

Everybody I know regardless of their neurological status has some sort of food issues. Sometimes it's texture, or smell, or because it causes diarrhea or even bad dreams. I don't question it. I have texture issues with certain ones but I also have eaten things that other people say "ewwwww" about when I mention them, like frog legs, alligator nuggets, raw sushi and fried deer heart. I don't like rubbery things like mushrooms. I can't eat any fat on steak. Gristle on chicken or turkey will make me gag and cringe. And no clams/oysters since the gristle thing is in those. Nooooo! Not into fatty meats at all. Nooooo!

I'm not picky about my food, but when I was a young child I was really picky about food.

I remember a while ago taking this quiz:

About the only thing I doubted was my ability to eat bull testicles.
So picky eater I am not.

Nah. I'll eat just about anything except peaches, which are repulsive in every manner and cause me to break out in hives.

Don't know, but I definitely have ARFID. As if life wasn't a pain in the neck already.

I can eat the same thing everyday and not get tired of it. In fact I have eaten the exact same lunch at work nearly everyday for the past 25 years.
