I feel like I'm 60 or 70yrs as, to me sometimes it seems time has passed me by and all that I had sincere dreams of simply eroded away. Now mind you, I'm not being cynical just stating that there are times when life has it's detours and during those times it's not super easy to get back on track may it be said however, I give a great amount of serenity unto myself each day to do a great deal of things overall!!

Like many of the people who have already posted their thoughts, my age is a contradiction. On the one hand, I feel like I am in my mid-50s, yet on the other hand I feel like I am still in my early teens. Such a contradiction is seen in my every day behaviors: being too serious one minute and being a total goofball the next.

Yes, I'm going along with the trend, 50, but inside, 16. :)

Wow, that's exactly how I feel sometimes. I just find that the world bores the living crap out of me. I don't like to socialize and since the whole human world is built around that premise I feel like I don't belong anywhere.

At least I found this website.

I'm 22 and I feel like I never went through adolescence properly, nor adulthood. I'll probably be stuck feeling like a kid for life. I don't mind it though because in a way I like staying as a kid. I feel about 10-12 emotionally, but in some ways I feel more mature then my peers. I think of the majority of them as idiots. I've always felt more comfortable around people older than me, so I hang around my mom and her friends quite a bit. I feel like I'm more on their level intellectually.

When most people guess at my age they still think I'm in highschool.

I was like that. I felt like I jumped from 8 to 18 and then got stuck.

i have been too aware since my mid-20's
that something was wrong with my 'aging'....
just today the question was asked why do i act
like i am a teenager still...grow up!

i am 48 this month. i cannot recognize the face in the mirror.
it is that of an old man...and yet, i KNOW that is supposed to be me.

I feel 34 because have been around for 34 years and seen enough hippy throwbacks, classic cars and old fashion cloths to reflect that.

The only thing that I cant get is that many 34 year olds look bair old, many of them look so middle aged. I know one roadsweeper at 33 who look so old he would put the fear of god into me. I could not except that he is younger then me.

I'm 15, but I go back and forth between feeling slightly older than I actually am, and feeling a lot younger. I love kid stuff, like kids tV shows and cute things. :-)

Either I'm about 10 or I'm about 45 (I'm 23). I care too much about the way things are supposed to be done and the rules and all and people accuse me of being their mothers . . . and then I also like to watch Batman: The Animated Series and sit in the floor and play with legos (at which point my mother accuses me of regressing) and playing monopoly against myself and playing with matchbox cars. :)

Some days I feel about 10, and some days a very grown-up and capable 20, but never, ever the 40+ I am! I tend to perceive myself as a young person and I'm just not. Even the mirror surprises me: my mental self-image is about half that size! It always surprises me when I get the respect and deference due my age when I feel that I'm not much more than a child, or when others look to me for leadership or answers when I'm waiting to be told what to do, or when young people look aghast when I start to relate as an equal.

I'm still a ten year old at heart. It irritates me that my physical age is in my teens, because I miss being innocent and carefree.
