I remember back in grade school, we had to do this "self" project, and one of the questions was "When I look in the mirror, I feel_____", and we were supposed to fill in that blank. I had no idea how to fill that in. Whenever I look in a mirror, I just see myself. What the heck am I supposed to feel? I feel nothing. I just see my own reflection there. How is that supposed to be any different? I was frustrated with answering that question because I thought it was a stupid question. I can't remember how I answered that question. I don't think I feel much different now about looking in a mirror. I just see myself.

Mirrors are creepy. It's like it isn't me I see, but an empty shell. I guess it's supposed to be me, but I just find it creepy.

when i look in mirrors, i usually just focus on the details - hair, eyelashes, zits, earings, how my clothes fit my body. sometime, if i catch a glimps of myself in an unexpected mirror, i am taken off guard because what i see first is just some person wearing my clothes, it takes me a minute to figure it out that it is me. it's strange, but i identify more with looking like my profile than how i look head-on which is probably why i hate most pictures of myself (but that's another thread).

When i look into a mirror i don't see myself as an adult. I never could comb my hair as a kid to where it looked good. When i started my 20's, i started to lose my hair, and now i shave to deal with the pressure of looking descent/coping with balding as a child in my mind. It's crazy. But i also think i'm a lil' cutie!

I hate looking in the mirror, and I also hate mirrors in general. Every time I see my reflection, it's just another reminder of how ugly and repulsive my face is. It's pretty much why I don't like going to the gym. I know I need to work out to stay healthy, but seeing my reflection every time I go there just isn't worth it. Seeing myself in the mirror when I shave or brush my teeth doesn't bother me as much; it has a functional goal, and I can easily avert my eyes.
