Which WP forums do you favor?

Which forum/s do you tend to visit most, visit sometimes, visit at all, never visit...?

Which forum/s do you prefer and why?

Which forum/s do you tend to post most in?

Which forum/s do you not understand why they're there at all?

I ask because I'm curious as to other Aspies' preferences apart from my own... We're really used to hearing a lot about NTs' preferences, but I know a lot less about my fellow Aspies...

I use General autism discussion and Off the wall most frequently. I check most of the others every once in a while, but post much less frequently. Oh, I also check Getting to know each other sort of regularly, but mostly to see who's new out here.

In order of most visited:

1. Random Discussion
I love the Random forum the best because any time I have anything at all that I'd like to share or what not, I can just post in the Got Anything Random To Say or I Confess threads with no repercussions. It's like a free way to get things out of my head. Plus the random topics in there are great.

2. Love and Dating
I find some of the topics interesting and like to give advice if I have anything to add.

3. Adult Autism Issues
This one speaks for itself I think.

4. General Autism Discussion
It is interesting to see what kinds of things other people have experienced that I thought was just me. I used to spend post in this forum almost exclusively but have kind of run out of things to say on many topics.

Interesting! Sounds like I'll have to start traveling around more, so I can meet my friends more often! I've kind of taken residence on this General Autism forum, but I move to The Haven when I'm really low and check the In-Depth once every so often and participate there if something calls my attention. When I remember and have time, I like to visit the Friendship forum. And I've posted threads in other forums when I've had specific questions relevant to those forums. I very rarely visit the Members forum, and the Random Discussion.

None! I use the sidebar and go to interesting posts by title as they appear on refresh. When I was first here, though, this lead to some embarrassing sojourns into the Women's Forum until I learned to check the title line. I still read them, though, as women often see angles to things that men don't.

Also, I hit the EgoSearch to check my own posts a couple times a day in case someone has added to an interesting discussion or needs some help with something I'm able to help with.

I am mostly found in Love and Dating, The Haven, and School and College Life, and to a slightly lesser extent Social Skills and Making Friends, Work and finding a Job, and In-Depth Adult Life Discussion. For the first three forums, I like to read about people's interpersonal problems and get more insight into AS and life by going through all the nitty-gritty details, and plus I'm a grad student right now so the college life forum is most relevant to what I do for a living at the moment.

I tend to stay away from the News and Current Events and PPR forums because I'm not interested in reading people's posts when they merely want to get on their soapboxes and not actually think about the validity of other people's opinions.

I mostly glance at whatever is in the sidebar on the WP home page when I log in.

I tend to avoid the "Topical Discussion" forums because I am not particularly interested in television, video games, music, etc.

Mostly, General and Random (there's usually something that interests me on one or the other at any given time), with occasional forays to Love & Dating (car on ne sait jamais!), Arts and Adult.

I'm not really the sort of person to write long, learned and intelligent posts, but I do like to read them.

I find the women's discussion forum vaguely perturbing, though I can't suggest a better alternative.

I spend most of my time in general autism discussion or random discussion and sometimes in members only. I sometimes have a browse in social skills and making friends, arts, wiriting and music and occasionally school and colleg life.
The one I never go on is adult but that's because I'm not 17 yet.

L&D because that's what I'm having the most issues with. Actually being perpetually single is pretty much my only complaint in life. It could be worse. Much worse.

My favorites are:

Random Discussion, Off-the-wall Forums/Games/Quizzes, and Television/Film. I am trying to stay out of PPR as much as I can.

I never go into Kids' Crater, Women's Discussion, or Adolescent.

I just use the side bar and I usually don't post twice in a thread coz once it's gone from the side bar I can't find it since they removed the search function.

General Autism Discussion and Parent's Discussion are my favorites, probably because these have the most posts relevant to autism. I also like News And Current Events, again probably for information. Art, Writing, And Music sometimes.

Forums I never go to: Love And Dating: doesn't interest me in the slightest, and nothing I can relate to.

All the other forums I only visit if a topic catches my attention from the "VIEW POSTS SINCE LAST VISIT".

I go through phases...lately, I have been hopping back and forth between Random Discussion and General

Sometimes I never visit Random Discussion....

Sometimes, I hop all over the place...but there are several forums I never visit...sometimes, just because I am not used to going there....lack the energy at the moment to break it all down...

General, Random and Parenting.
