Will the majority ever stop imposing themselves on the minor

A disconnect will continual as long as the majority try and change the minorities, a little like 2 cultures coming together, while one continually wants to change the other, only frustration, anger, meltdown for the minority, as some of us are more sensitive spectrum-wise and need our desensitizing zones, need to stim to offload, is that too much to ask, all you have to do is accept, allow and try and understand!

I look forward to that day.
Me too.
Even if it ends up in the future that I don't have aspergers, I will still respect everyone in the community.
You were the ones that were there for me when I was feeling down, and still is! That's a great respect, and I feel like I owe everyone.
I'm still dreaming of one day getting my problems sorted out, but when one of the problems is communication it's not that easy!

Prove that the day is coming because I honestly don't see it. As of currently I have to find my source again, but recent statistics have been showing nnot just more hate crimes against various minorities in general, but also the crimes have been becoming more severe. But of course minorities are just flinging the hate right back quite often, as is evident in the whole 'White Vs Black' mentality.

Nope, never, and that applies to all kinds of issues. If you look hard enough, you can still find examples with almost anything, like race. There are a few exceptions, like the minority in power having control over the majority not in power.

Agreed.....while i'd say the general mainstream trend involves more
understanding and respect for human diversity of all types, the
reactionaries also seem to be growing in quanity and "quality".
I think the election of a black president has much to with this in
AMERICA....but this trend seems to be worldwide. The world is
changing for the better in the sense that human diversity is more
embraced overall. But there's alot of "traditionalist", "conservative" and
"right-wing" elements the world over who despise these changes
and will do anything to undermine them. The original nazis and
were cut from the same mold in the Weimar republic, a pretty
liberal, tolerant and open-minded society for it's time. Our latter-day
fascists (be they American nazis, homophobes, those who hate the
disabled, etc.... European far right-wingers, or "Islamo-fascists", etc....)
fortunately just don't have alot of power......yet.
The following lyrics are most apropos here I think:
"Lunatic Fringe
I know you're out there
You're in hiding
And you hold your meetings
I can hear you comin'
I know what your after
We're wise to you this time
(Wise to you this time)
We won't let you kill the laughter
Uuuuhhh Huh, Uuuuhhh Huh, Uuuuhhh Huh,
Lunatic Fringe
In the twilight's last gleaming
This is open season
But you won't get too far
Cause you gotta blame someone
For your own confusion
We're on guard this time
(On guard this time)
Against your final solution
Oh no
Uuuuhhh Huh, Uuuuhhh Huh, Uuuuhhh Huh,
We can hear you comin'
(We can hear you comin')
No, you're not gonna win this time
(Not gonna win)
We can hear the footsteps
(We can hear the footsteps)
Way out along the walkway
(Out along the walkway)
Lunatic Fringe
We all know you're out there
Can you feel the resistance
Can you feel the thunder"

While I agree change has to happen and in away within the ever changing circle of life it does, but some things way beyond reason sometimes, like spectrum-wise why try and stop individuals from stimming as I feel almost as bad as saying do not breath... society often creates spectrum frustration and then wonders when we hit out sometimes ! !!

Agreed for the most part, but the far left irritate me to hell as well. I prefer a more 'centrist' approach to things honestly, its the more objective approach.

For some reason....I got that impression from you demon abyss.
It's fine....I don't judge anyone for their politics per se.
While the far left irritates me too in many ways....I suppose most people
would view me as a member of it albeit a rather recalcitrant one who
refuses to obey the party line
In terms of my ideals....I suppose i'd define myself as a libertarian socialist whose
overall worldviews are similar to Noam Chomsky's.
I admit I despise capitalism with every fiber of my being. That being said...I also
admit that it may very well be the best we humans can do, (economically speaking)
currently at least, as a species.
This is turn is a big reason for my misanthropy. If capitalism is truly the best humans
can do, i'd say we're not worth very much.
Not a big fan of many other things the far left often dislikes as well, but capitalism
is public enemy number #1 IMO.
Religion is a big contender too....but only for the VALUES it has spawned and which
still resonate even among the secular.
Just my opinions...I could be wrong of course and I don't want to get into
a big debate about politics and religion in any event.

Yeah, I share some of your opinions as well, but in the end I consider myself more of a libertarian. I know I have left leanings socially, but I know I am definitely towards the right economically.
Religion can bug me to hell, for most of the reasons you yourself have posted.
Capitalism though is where we differ on that. I don't agree with socialism because it often removes 'choices as to who we help'. Id much rather donate stuff for AS/Autism awareness than for helping the starving people in Africa. Capitalism gives more of a choice as to what you can do with the money you have earned. It would take me a while to post more things about socialism vs capitalism but I don't really feel like going there right now.
I know I am somewhat Darwinistic in my approach to things. I was against the bailouts for the simple fact that sometimes the high and mighty need to fall, in order to make way for new blood and general improvements to the business. It would also relate to my whole why fix the damn world when you cant even fix your own problems. A really strong example of that would be the whole relief for haiti. My country (The US) has so much debt that I kinda feel the humanitarian efforts funded by the taxes/government need to be put on hold until we are back in the black. It just strikes a nerve when I see that taxes, more loans from the banks, and more currency getting printed (which causes a thing called inflation, which isn't a good thing). Id only ever care for an economically responsible government. It also goes hand in hand with my whole 'the people should be able to choose where their money goes' routine.
A for my take on equality, especially racial and sexual equality, here is what I feel about it. They want to be treated equal, they will get the same exact services the majority would get and no more race/gender specific stuff such as scholarships, adjustments in loans/insurance rates, and all that other stuff. In essence they would be treated as equals and would have to work their way up all in all in the same way other people who have worked hard have.]
I am happy and definitely respect you for not judging my beliefs on it. What does irritate me to the point of being a pet peeve that should just go away, is when people have to generalize. The main example that I see on these and other forums constantly is the whole "If you lean anywhere to the right/left, you are ******* stupid" Both sides tend to do this to the other side without giving much thought. Cant people just ******* accept the fact not everyone agrees with you, nor do they have to. Both sides of any argument have both their smart people and their stupid people, so yeah...

I do feel this is one of the biggest issues and until we all stand up, speak out and can accept and be proud of who we are individuals, the world will continual to discriminate against us intentionally or unintentionally.

Yet some people, not just even in our minority, tend to do nothing but let everyone else step all over them. We have to at least make an effort to stand up instead of being a bunch of whiny little snots. And yeah what you quoited from my is just my idealistic view which rarely if ever, comes out. Humans are just too 'socially biased' for it to work though IMO.

"The world" will continue to discriminate simply because that is its nature, and no amount of standing up, speaking out, self-acceptance or pride will change that. People only change after being motivated by pain, and "the world" does not even know it is hurting. Rather, it is delusional and believes the future it is now making for itself is a good one.

I agree and also feel generally spectrum wise individuals are more user friendly to the planet, so no idea why the majority want us to conform
