I have found that instead of wrapping myself in a blanket, putting on a hat or warm beanie on my head calms me right down and helps me wind down after a long day at work.

Anyone else have tricks like this?

Seeing something like this reminds me why wrong planet is such a great site.

I have a black Donegal tweed cap which I where a lot of the time in my office: people there think I am weird for that reason or say that I should not wear hats in doors, etc. But I know its good for me so I ignore them and carry on regardless!

I always like to wear hats anyway, I think I can hide under them ot that people on the street wil see the hat but not me.

I hate the feeling of anything on my head.. though I wish I didn't because there are some cool looking hats out there.

i do not wear hats of any kind, because i feel a slight pressure and discomfort at first, and that rapidly intensifies to an intolerable feeling of imposition.

the same is true for spectacles. the light pressure on the bridge of my nose soon becomes a clamping bind, and i have to tear them off.

i can not wear rings either. my girlfriend got me a friendship ring (wring) and i can not endure more than a couple of minutes of it on my finger.

can not stand hats or glasses or rings.
those are a few of my most hated things.

I love hats! I must have dozens of all kinds. And yes I find them comforting and will catch myself with one still on indoors.

Yes, it does! I feel like I can retreat into my own little world when I wear a hat. I feel safer. I love it.

Yes. I love actually being inside a hoodie. I can put up the hood and I feel a lot more at ease. That's why i hate the stupid summer...

I can't stand hats. Don't like the feeling, I wouldn't where sunglasses either, until I found a super lightweight pair.

@above
I like hoodies though :D

Same here but I cant stand a hat on my head the hat band starts to irritate and especially ball caps and the big problem is that sometimes I have to wear a hard hat at the job and when I do I just get real irritated and the day starts to get bad.

When I lived up north I had a very hard time transitioning out of a hat in the spring. I loved my hats and felt incomplete leaving the house without one. In Virginia it is unnecessary, but I still wear them once in a while.

I love wearing hats outside, but inside my head can get too hot with it on.

I love hats. They feel good, and they also look good if you buy the right ones. I wear one almost every day now. My current favorite is a big, black top hat I wear in the winter.

Not really. Hats don't agree with my crazy hair/enormous head.

The imagery one creates when reading this thread title is uproariously funny. The fact that it got so many replies only adds to the effect. lol

I wear the hood on my hoodie when I'm nervous.
