I think it would be cool to put together things that people told us that were both intelgent and meaningful as kind of a guide.

Anyway,
The most inteligent thing anyone ever told me was told to me by a guy who dropped out in the 3rd grade to work for his family. He had juvinile diabetes and had limited energy reserves.
He told me on the subject of working, "work smarter, not harder" In other words find more efficent ways to do something that makes the process of what you are doing better quality, yet takes less bodily and time energy to do it.

A bunch of non-stop, however extremely intelligent ravings from a stoned guy on the bus about rational ends to the crumbling existence we call life and how we'll all die someday. "Suicide seems a rational and acceptable end to the obvious decline in global moral, guess what?... Government is another word for better than you. We're fed lies like a pig in the slops. Not to bettile the doomsayers of yesteryear but this unstopable proliferation will be our end. We are literally bleeding." I know there's more but I don't remember it all. This guy was pretty messed up, I could see he'd been smoking something strange. Funny but all true and really an eye opener.

Interesting,
I used to hang out with a homeless guy in Savannah, Ga (when I should have been doing my homework), and he was a trumpet player and a very soulful passionate individual. Sad but true, sometimes the ones who really know what is going on is the ones nobody takes seriously. The janitor always knows what goes on more than anyone.

AspZ...if I thought like that I might have more money that I do

Noam Chomsky on Metaphysics/Epistemiology/Limits of the human mind:

"The human mind is a biologically given system with certain powers and limits . . .The fact that “admissible hypotheses” are available to this specific biological system accounts for its ability to construct rich and complex explanatory theories. But the same properties of mind that provide admissible hypotheses may well exclude other successful theories as unintelligible to humans. Some theories might simply not be among the admissible hypotheses determined by the specific properties of mind that adapt us “to imagining correct theories of some kinds,” though these theories might be accessible to a differently organized intelligence.

The naturalistic temper . . . takes for granted that humans are part of the natural world, not angels, and will therefore have capacities with specific scope and limits, determined by their special structure. For a rat, some questions are problems that it can solve, others are mysteries that lie beyond its cognitive reach; the same should be true of humans, and to first approximation, that seems a fair conclusion. What we call “natural science” is a kind of chance convergence between aspects of the world and properties of the human mind/brain, which has allowed some rays of light to penetrate the general obscurity, excluding, it seems, central domains of the “mental.”"
