Made me think of this from a dicussion about the movie "Adam." I eat the same exact foods every day and have for years. I thought I was alone until I saw Adam's freezer stuffed with broccoli and mac & cheese! This obviously must be an Aspie thing. So just wondering if anyone else has strict, limited eating habits. And if so... what foods? 8) Spaghetti, rice, and Frosted Mini Wheats here! There's vegetables too...some granola bars, fruit snacks, bread products. But seriously, that's about it!

I don't eat the same foods everyday but I will eat the same foods for a few days. I quess living alone is part of the reason. Right now for breakfast I'm having bagels. I'll eat a bagel for breakfast for 6 consecutive days. same goes with breakfast sandwiches. I'll buy a half dozen eggs and a package of english muffins and then I'll buy some ham at the deli counter and will have them for six days. I'll also have apple pancakes too, but usually it doesn't last six days. I'll made a batch of apple pancake batter and have 4 pancakes a money until I run out. I'll make blueberry pancakes when blueberries are in season. Similar things happen with my other meals. On Tuesday I made a pot roast, so I've been having some each day since tuesday, I probably have enough to have it once more both tomorrow and Sunday. So usually when I cook something, it will last me a few days. However I try not to have two consective cylcles of meals. When, for example I buy a hot roast chicken at the store, I won't buy another immediately after finishing one. The last chicken I finished was before Christmas day.

I wish I was more flexible like that :? I used to be like that when I was a child, actually. Then as I got older, my diet narrowed. Now I'm trying to integrate new foods slowly back into my diet - just a mouthfull at a time - but I can't stop loving my foods!

Similar. Not exactly the same, but I'll crave a certain food set all the time.
Currently consists of smores using toast instead of graham crackers, tea, frozen yogurt, and certain chips.
Mostly sweets or snacks. Never anything healthy. I have to be forced to eat regular food.
Used to be pancakes. Even after dinner. Even before dinner. Changed to smores. Hehe.

I do the same thing with clothes. I have certain sets of clothes and the variations are limited. In honesty I wear only like 30% of all that I actually have only because I like how those clothes look and feel the best.

I will eat the same food for about 3-5 days in a row, then I start to get sick of it, and can't eat that certain food for awhile.

I never get sick of food. Sometimes a craving for a specific nutrient will shift what I eat. For example, I was eating a ramen dish I had concocted, but I was lacking protein (it did include veggies) so I switched to a bean and rice dish. Now, I have a tomato craving, so I'm alternating between marinara and turkey sandwiches.

I do enjoy cooking and trying new foods . . . but that doesn't extend to eating new foods as a meal. It's a bit odd. I'll gladly have a taste of your watermelon pancakes (just to see!) but I'll go right back to my bagel no matter how delicious it is.

I will eat the same foods everyday for months and never get sick of them, and will even be excited to be eating them and look forward to them. I also eat them in the same order typically.

My problem is if I try another food or start eating something else another food gets taken off the list that I will eat, and the food I tried (if I like it) will then be a food being eaten everyday!

When I was younger I once ate spaghetti at least once a day for over a year.

I don't eat the same food every day as a rule, but I have gone through long periods where I did eat the same food every day.

Right now I tend to crave certain groups of foods, and go for those in various combinations each day. Plus someone else prepares dinner usually, so I go with that.

Whenever I eat at restaurants, I pretty much have the same thing from the menu if at all possible. Even if

As a child, through my teens, I did have a very narrow list of foods I was willing to eat, but I started to spread out as an adult (and still find foods I like).

I don't eat the same thing every day, but sometimes I go through phases of wanting to eat the same thing a lot, kind of like a kid would. For instance, I eat a sandwich with the same stuff on it everyday for lunch, sometimes twice a day.

I don't have any strict rules about needing to eat the same thing ever. I just go through periods of time where I do.

I think I went for a year or more of eating quesadillas most nights each week without meat. Before that it was beans and meat.

I recently just got tired of eating two waffles every morning. I ate that for over a year on a consistent basis. Probably 2 years. Now I don't particularly want to eat breakfast but know I should and so do.

Not strictly every day but it just happened to be most days because I wanted it and liked it.

I also eat the same food every day. It slowly changes, but weeks or even months go by and Im pretty much eating the same 10 things. It makes it easy to grocery shop!

I'm not certain NTs REALLY eat all the vegetables and fruit they claim to eat :P I personally eat carbs and red meat. That's my diet. Generally it's pasta, homemade hamburgers, and i would eat only that if i didn't have children. No, actually if i didn't have children, i think i would eat only tea and toast. Because of the kids, i am forced to eat carrots and smile about it, saying "humm!! ! delicious!" hoping they will believe me and eat healthy. I hate vegetables. Actually, my son is AS too and he is a big tomatoe fan. Before he could speak, he would sneak out of bed in the morning and raid my fridge for tomatoes. Curious little guy :P i'm slightly allergic to all those acid fruits, they burn my mouth...

Well I love food and am a good cook, so I eat a lot of variety. Actually other than food intolerance there's nothing I wouldn't try or wouldn't eat. It actually happened a lot that I fall in love with a kind of food upon the first bite, for example, artichoke, kale, rabbit, eel...etc. I love veggies, especially the slightly bitter, sharp kind. My husband would about choke if he eat those so I cook some other veggies for him. I try to eat seasonally, for freshness and maximum flavor. Like I don't buy apples after March, no mangos in winter as they don't taste good. Although I do buy bananas all the time.

My kids and husband, on the other hand, don't seem to have much demand for variety and are more reluctant to try new stuff. My husband eat a meat and cheese sandwich, a yogurt and an apple for lunch almost everyday and he's never bored.

Oh there is one thing I do eat every single day - chocolate. :)

I do not have a food intolerance but I will eat the same thing over and over. It's kind of funny in that I will naturally want to eat exactly what I ate the night before. If I ate Hamburger Helper yesterday, than I will usually feel mildly "bummed" that I am not eating the same thing tonight even if tonight's meal is going to be better. The oddest is when I am eating at a great restaurant and I am almost missing the mac and cheese I had yesterday.
