i have a very weak sense of smell, and as a small child i didnt have a sense of smell AT ALL. i didnt know what it meant to smell something.
my sense of taste is so sensitive i can't eat chocolate, or chocolate cake, or candies or cream on a cake or strawberry jam, can't even drink any kind of alcohol. i find foods hot and spicy when other people swear they're not, that, or sweet when other people say they're not sweet. i like bland foods.

All of my senses are hypersensitive...

However, despite having hypersensitive taste (I can't drink water, I taste water from cleaning the cup), I still drastically prefer strong flavors in food. I taste it really strongly, but it tastes good to me.

My sense of smell sucks. I hardly ever smell anything, and when I do, it's usually something nasty.

My hearing is about average.

At close range my vision is actually slightly better than average, but I'm near sighted, so everything that's more than a meter or so away looks blurry.

I am hypersensitive to touch, I can always feel anything that touches me, whereas most people can't.

I have no idea how my sense of taste compares with the rest of the population.

I think most of my senses are actually fairly sensitive. I think my sense of smell is around average.

I'm not sure about my taste, though. I think that it might be around average but I don't think there's any way to really be sure.

My eyesight isn't the best ever. I have glasses but I barely ever wear them. It's not too bad, and my eyes are sensitive to light and so on.

My hearing is quite sensitive and so's my sense of touch.

EDIT: I react differently to pain, though. I think I might be hypo-sensitive to some types of pain and I don't find pain in general particularly unpleasant.

My ability to smell is weak, but that's because of my sinus trouble.

My hearing is the strongest hypersensitivity, which I am confused about because I have ear problems too. :?

I think all my senses are pretty alert. I think my taste is average, but I wouldn't know.

My senses are hyper. It's not as bad as it could be, obviously, because I'm high functioning; but, they are all elevated beyond what would be considered normal.

All of mine are dulled apart from touch and - I think my sense of smell is also a bit heightened...not to the extent that I hate all perfume, but I'm pretty selective about it as a result.

Physically my hearing isn't good, still, this is my most developed sense. It has to do with how my brain was trained, I think.

I'm slightly near sighted, and my right eye has a moderate astigmatism. Overall I think I can see well enough.

My sense of smell is about average. The funny thing that a significant part of my stimming consists of smells.

I'm not extremely sensitive to touch, although this is a source of stimming for me too.

My sense of taste is definitely elevated. I don't like too salty or too spicy food, but tolerate hot well. Some textures I don't like (but can tolerate), such as tomato, apricot, fatty food. I didn't like melone (but liked water melone) as a child.

Sight: I can see fine, as long as I don't have to read anything. I do wear reading glasses.

Smell: I can only breathe through one nostril at a time, so no. But, I can smell horrible things (certain perfumes, air fresheners, trash) I can occasionally smell good food.....

Sound: Heightened, to an extent. I can hear the TV commercials switch from panel to panel over people talking, and I usually end up hearing things others don't. I may go "Did ya'll hear that?" My parents go "No. Stop Overreacting." They've gotten used to that by now, I suppose...

Taste: Sensory Overload with taste buds and eye(s) watering and/or mucus running from nostril(s) with practically everthing I eat. I'm not going to stop eating because of it, so it doesn't bother me like it did when I was younger.....

Touch: Not fond of too much touching, especially if it's unexpected. I've gotten better with this over the years, but still can be a problem...

My eyesight is poor, as in, I'm very short sighted.

As for my hearing, it's probably about average. I tend to notice some high pitched noises that other people don't, but aside from that, nothing's out of the ordinary.

Smell and taste are normal. I think.

And finally, my sense of touch is slightly heightened because I find that certain materials, such as wool, really irritate me. I also hate some clothes tags because they feel so scratchy and horrible.

my sense of smell is the weakest by far, even a little under that of 'normal', while my hearing is clearly the best one.

if i do not try to smell something, i can be sitting in horse manure without smelling it; but if i want to, i can determine the ingredients of food and the combined taste by smell alone (perfect when cooking and trying to decide which herb to add next)

Crazy high sensitivity for sight/hearing/touch and nearly no taste/smell...which makes being a cook somewhat difficult. I excel in art though with my sensory sensitivities.

I don't smell anything, but I hear everything.
I also have synesthesia, so I hear everything I see, which makes it worse.

But no, no sense of smell. Taste is normal though....

I grew up with a very strong sense of smell. In the early 1980s, I had a case of flu once that was pretty bad and haven't had much of a sense of smell since then. For a while, hardly anything had any flavor at all.

Prior to that case of flu, I could barely stand to walk into many restaurants because of the smells and I couldn't stand to eat foods with strong smells. Indian food was the worst.

But once I had the flu that one time, for several years about the only food that has any flavor at all was Indian food. I went from being completely unable to eat Indian food to it being my favorite food.

Over time, it seems as if my sense of smell has returned slightly. Or maybe I'm just getting better at picking out the faint odors that I get.

One thing that I absolutely hate now is to go into a restaurant and see that at 58, I'm under the median age of people in the restaurant. Last Sunday I ate lunch at a place where I think the median age was somewhere in the 65-70 range. I always have the impression that the reason that it's only the old folk is because those who still have a good sense of smell and taste are running away from the place because of their food.
