What is your eyesight? I am nearsighted, -7.00 in one eye and -6.75 in another.

Anyone else with really bad eyesight?

It's decent but I'm farsighted. My husband is slightly farsighted. Son has 20/20.

Originally diagnosed near-sighted, but starting to have problems with the opposite as well. My last prescription was: L: -1.75 and R: -2.75

I can only use one eye at a time. I nearly have 20/20 vision, just slightly short sighted. If I straighten my eyes which I can do, my vision gets extremely bad. I decided not to get them straightened as the doctor said my eyesight may get
worse.

I am not sure as to what the name for my eye condition is called. It is different than just having a Amblyopia
(lazy eye) as it affects both eyes, and I can focus both eyes too look straight ahead. :?

I was born with cataract. Blind in one eye (6%vision), on the other eye I am nearsighted and have about 80% vision with glasses, 50-55% without.

Me too, although I'm not as bad as someone I know who wears glasses OVER contacts.

Same as Mr. Mark, only now I need reading glasses. I have bifolcals but they are a pain. I'm so nearsighted that surgery is recommended, but my insurance won't cover it.

mildly nearsighted but oddly enough, my long-distance vision's pretty good. I can see stuff without my glasses (hawks, aircraft, etc) that my wife can't see even with her glasses on.

I've worn glasses since I was 9 years old. Now I'm told that I need bi-focals. In addition, due to numerous auto immune inflammations, I have early cataracts forming. So I need bright lights when doing stuff like cooking or sewing.
