:x I was so mad at my husband, he loudly eats and sometimes makes these slurpy sounds. Last night he was chomping on an apple, it's like, why don't you cut that up and eat it in the kitchen?! :x
He's the same way with burgers. :?

Eating noises annoy the crap out of me. It could be one of the main reasons I always watch television while I'm eating.

Most definitely yes they do annoy me and have for quite some time. I also notice they annoy my father too. It's incredibly rude when people smack their gum too! It's like geez shut your mouth everyone doesn't need to know you're chewing gum.

Absolutely. And it makes me feel violent too. Sometimes I actually have to get up and leave, to stop myself from doing something violent as a result.

Eating noises are terrible, but not as bad as the "mouth cleaning" noises....sucking teeth and all that. Aaagh, just thinking about it now makes me want to stab someone in the eyes. And old people ALWAYS make those noises. It's why I have a really hard time being around old people.

i concur totally with all of the above. it repulses me even worse if i am eating at the time myself. one of the guys who lives in this flat has the worst eating habits, i have had to start eating food in my room because of it. but then again i dont really like eating in public anyway...

I don't even like my own eating noises, much less someone elses'.
Tho, oddly, the cats' eating noises don't bother me.

I am a noisy, messy eater and I make no apologies for it. If you don't like it, piss off.

I am a noisy eater so I can't say anything about other people's, and I don't provided they are eating properly.

What I do dislike though is people speaking with their mouths full. What I dislike even more are people who open their mouths when they chew intermittently. This is vulgar and noisy and wrong and irritates the hell out me.
