I would like to go to a rave someday. It sounds really fun. Im not sure how my mind would take the overstimulation from the noise, etc.

it depends on how sensitive you are. my mind says go for it, but I don't know how strong your sensory issues are. how do you normally feel with loud music, crowds, lights etc.?

I agree, it really depends on your sensory perceptions and sensitivity, if you think you can handle bright lights, loud music and process people talking, I would say go for it, at least you'll learn if you can handle them or not.

Take ear plugs and shades with you, then don't get stuck in the middle of it all so you can easily leave when you feel like it. And eat lots of fresh fruit and veggies for a couple of days before you go. Good nutrition boosts my tolerance like nothing else.

It probably depends on how you react to ecstacy and glow sticks ;-)

I actually think of parties like that as positively stimulating. It's a good way that I can be overloaded with sound that is rhythmic... with lights that flash bright with purpose rather than beams of sunlight light attacking me from no where...

People moving in slightly more predictable ways...

I am very sensitive to sound and usually when I first walk into that sort of party my entire body is tense and I have a bit of a panic attack, but after a while that additional feeling puts me in a different universe. The organization of it all makes the sensory overload safe and I can almost feel myself floating as I walk...

I would much rather go to a rave than a rock concert.

I would say BRING ear plugs and sunglasses even if you think you can be tough enough to deal with it! It could potentially save you from having to go home earlier than you want to. Even if you force yourself to deal with the sensory overload it WILL be exhausting... no matter how great and exciting the experience is. Especially if there is a lot of problems with navigating through people and having to touch and bump into people to get through crowds lol...

I say, if its cheap enough: try it! if it becomes too much... go home :)

Only go if it's a rave with decent people, not some typical Friday night night-club full of drunken hooligans.

Vegetables are not nutritious. Vegetables are useless garbage.

Eat plenty of meat before you go, for strength.

All I have to say is that if it was me, I'd be tripping way before everyone else and wouldn't need a single drug or anything. In the door, bright lights, there I go.

I've never been to a rave but I've been to loud concerts and enjoyed them.......so if your into the kinda music that would be at a rave you should be fine. But it's really up to you.

Loud music? Bright lights? A density of people high enough to alert the fire marshal? Raves do not sound very Aspie friendly to me.

Don't forget lots of unwanted physical contact.
