'lo everyone. Tomorrow, the 5th of March, is my 14th birthday! Thought you ought to know. (Faints like Quirrel in HP and the Sorcerer's Stone [just kidding] )

That explains the XIV part ('tis Roman Numerals), but what about the part in parentheses? i answer this question with two of my own: 1) What age involves excited-to-the-point-of-wetting-yourself teenagers, a small card and slip of paper, a 2 ton (or more) hunk of metal, and parents being hospitalized for anxiety attacks or cardiac arrest; and 2) how many more years will it be 'till i reach this age?

Think about it. Do the math. :?: :? :x :!:

And i guess the way i drive in racing games is probably the reason that my mum swore she wouldn't let me go anywhere near the driver's seat of her Isuzu Rodeo SUV...

I guess my F-Zero GP Legend record got the best of me...

I don't want to hijack his thread.

I'll make a new one on Monday.

I would like to hear how your birthday went/is going though, Archmage. :)

Happy birthday, Archmage!

I had almost forgotten how much I wanted the freedom of driving my own vehicle when I was around your age. As an adult, you rarely think of how constrained people are when they don't have access to their own transportation. About a year after you start driving your own vehicle, you'll probably begin to view driving as just another annoying chore, especially if you live in an area with a lot of traffic.

Try not to be too reckless when you turn 16. I racked up three accidents between my 16th and 17th birthday due to my overly aggressive driving habits (one of them wasn't my fault, at least). I have become far more conservative since then, and I haven't had another wreck so far. Keep in mind that car accidents are the most significant cause of death for people your age.
