I have always been extra sensitive to spicy food. Even if I don't know there is spice in my food, or a spicy herb, I always immediately find out when it's in my mouth, even the slightest bit of peppercorns or something. My mouth feels like it's on fire just with a tiny amount of a very mild spice.

Anyone else like this?

I don't have more than the usual taste reaction or anything, but even the smallest bit of spice (warm ((Chilli))rather than spikey ((peppercorns))) in something can make my nose run. Doesn't stop me enjoying, though, so I'm not sure it counts.

Me: "Wow, that's spicy."
Everyone else: "It's not that hot!"

Story of my life. It's a bit sh*tty because I come from an Anglo-Indian family where there's spicy food at every family gathering and my mum likes to put spices in all her food, so it's really hard to find something to eat at family gatherings XD

I go into Sensory Overload if I accidently get a mouth full of Spicy food that I wasn't aware of and won't eat it. I also make sure I won't buy it again.

Only mild food for me.

I'm hyposensitive to spicy food. Also a bit weird about it...

Chili powder and cayenne? Good on almost everything. Also, worcestershire adds to just about anything. Spicy and Sour are my staples.

I used to not care much for spicy food but more recently I like it a lot as long as I have something to put the flames out with.

Yes, even at a mild spectrum of spiceness and I feel like it just burns my mouth. >< I still like adding a bit though. It's the same for anything else too...sour, tangy...I can't stand those tastes because I feel like my mouth will explode and I make that sour or disgusted face.

I love spicy food. I love hot wings especially, and jalapenos. Tangy-spicy is my favourite.

Nope, quite the opposite. I'm extremely fond of spicy foods. Especially curry.

I like foods that have actual flavor like spaghetti and BBQ sauce and chili, but not when it's so hot it burns my whole mouth and throat and even cause my taste buds to swell up. The dentist told me the whitening toothpaste I'd been using were actually making my mouth hypersensitive to such things. They never mention THAT in the commercials! Different people have different degrees of spice tolerance. My brother loves really hot foods but I once lived in a home with a resident with OCD who always told me not to put too much spice in whatever I was cooking for a meal. In fact she wouldn't tolerate any spice at all. I would make chicken and put BBQ sauce or even shake-and-bake but I'd have to leave one piece with nothing on it for her. I also can only tolerate mild salsa. "Wimpy" salsa I like to call it. :) And I LOVE cinnamon and will happily chew that "inferno" flavored gum!

I have very little tolerance for spicy foods. Foods that make me break into a sweat most other people can barely even taste.
