But, today I learned that palilalia is the name to this. here is the definition of palilalia. It is found in various neurological disorders; tourettes, the spectrum, traumatic brain injuries,etc...
Palilalia, a disorder of speech characterized by compulsive repetitions of utterances has been found in various neurological and psychiatric disorders. It has commonly been interpreted as a defect of motor speech;
a speech defect marked by abnormal repetition of syllables, words, or phrases. Also, this is a language disorder in which there is severe verbal perseveration.(like my son saying certain words, or phrases hundreds of times a day......)
