I get fascinated by people's hair if it's really healthy and beautiful and if it has a lot of natural highlights in it. I don't like artificial hair colors and dyed hair, just beautiful natural healthy hair. I will sometimes stare intensely at it because I love how the colors mix and how it shines and flows. And if a man has long healthy beautiful hair I often find that very beautiful and soothing to look at. I guess with men they don't do much to their hair if it's long other than perhaps put it in a pony tail so it stays very natural. It's actually calming. I try to be careful though because I don't want people to think that I am staring at them or at their kids because I am some kind of scary person and sometimes I can't help staring so much that I just let them know what my deal is. Usually they are very understanding and they like that I think they have beautiful hair and they let me stare at it.

But I am wondering if anyone else does this too.

I don't get fascinated by other people's (or my own) hair. But I remember when I was about 9-10 I got fascinated by a girl's hair in my class. It was long and blonde, and always so neat looking. I wanted my hair to be as long as that but would take ages to grow.

I like hair a lot. I think you can tell a lot about a person's personality from what they do with their hair.

I'm a big fan of natural colored and naturally curly hair. 80s style hair is fantastic. Worst thing I have seen is girls who straight iron their hair. :eew: Naturally straight hair is OK. At least it doesn't have that flat look of straightened hair.

Dyed hair. The problem with dyed hair is that most of it is just badly done. I'll admit that when I see dark haired girls who change to bleach blondes, it looks awesome... for about one week. Then the color fades, and the dark roots start appearing. :eew: At least if you are going to dye your hair, do it every week, or not at all.

The goth look. I love natural black hair. But girls who dye their hair black, have the same problem as those who dye their hair blond. The color doesn't last, it never looks natural, and extremely light skin with black hair is just all wrong.

Unnatural hair colors, pink, blue, etc. I defiantly don't think it looks attractive, but I do think it looks cool. It's a great way for some girls to express themselves. Also if you are female and don't want guys hitting on you it public. I think some extreme hair color would be a great way to get rid of most of the unwanted attention. I'm sure some guys would still love it though.

For guys I don't really care or think too much about their hair. But I think probably short spiky hair looks best. Defiantly not a bald. I can't really imagine why any females would be attracted to bald guys, but I'm sure some find it attractive.

I like hair, and I'm constantly playing with my husband's/kids' hair. My biggest weakness is infant hair. When my niece was a baby, I patted her head so much I got laughed at.

I always want to touch little boys hair when they have a crew cut but have to restrain myself after I got a very funny look from a colleague.

Not in this part of the world. Black/ dark brown haired people who need to use factor 50 sunblock is quite a common combination here and it doesn't look odd. But, I agree, it does look peculiar, when it's not natural. :)

Hey, us bald guys need some lovin too :)

I think the women who fall in love with the bald guy either knew him before he was bald, or the bald guy (like myself) is comfortable in his own skin and the internal sexiness and self-confidence shines through! :)

It's like this in my part of Canada, too.

I think that if I got caught staring at someone's hair I'd probably compliment them on it, but that's just me. I know if someone was staring at me I'd be less bothered by it if I knew why they're staring.

it sounds like its a stim or sensory seeking thing are doing, keep at it if its got no downsides, its something that like doing aand it doesnt make anyone feel like theyve got a pervert/stalker on their hands.

am not into hair to an extreme level due to having severe sensory issues with it,mine is always shaved off to a number one shave though it took many years to get to the point of tolerating having it shaved as am not able to access hairdressers, it used to be this wild ginger mess that went down to arse.

I also get fascinated by other peoples hair, and I also like natural colours and hair-dos. I'm also a hippie gazer looking at long-haired people of both genders.

I wasn't talking about brown hair. I was talking about the pale skinned white goth girls who dye their hair jet black. The most light skinned people I can think of who have natural black hair would probably be East Asians, and their skin is not that pale.

Sorry about that. I was just stating my personal opinion. As I said I'm sure there are plenty of females who are attracted to bald guys. Hell, I'm sure there are plenty of males who have a fetish for bald women.

I've been growing my hair out for over seven years. Being a guy with hair down to his waist tends to attract people's attention; it lets me see just how much people are fascinated by long hair (and people are indeed very fascinated by it).
There's been a whole slew of phases in my relationship with my hair. When I first started growing it long, I always wanted it to be pin straight, but the older I got, the more I started embracing its natural waviness.
Nowadays, I want to get it styled or shaped in some way to further complement my features, but the two major factors keeping me from doing that are the taboo against guys getting their hair done in a similar way to a woman's and the general anxiety of getting my hair cut. My hair's been a major time investment, and I've had a fear for a while of losing it.

I have found many bald men to be very handsome. I think it has to do like you said with self confidence. You know what they like to say. God only made a few perfect heads, the rest he covered with hair. :0)

Wow I never thought if it as a stim. That makes sense since I find that I focus on the color patterns and how it flows. It is very soothing actually. When you say a sensory seeking thing what does that mean? I don't understand can you explain that to me?

I always let people know that I think they have beautiful hair and that I am autistic so that I don't scare them. They are usually very understanding about it.

I think you should go for it. A trim or a cut every now and then always makes the hair more healthy. I am sure you can find someone to give you a nice masculine long hair style as well. I think it would be a good experiment for you.
