For me it's eggs, skunk smell, burnt rubber, the inside of school buses, diesel exhaust, peoples burps, stale air, and permanent markers.

I'm not really keen on the smell of the changing rooms at the swimming baths, so much so that I wont go swimming.

Ladies cosmetic products, sweat, cigarette. Long car rides are still torture to me and I think its because of car smells. The smell of the ocean will make me very ill after a day at the beach. So I loathe the beach. Which is ironic because I was born in NC which has fantastic beaches.

Other smells catch me like a snare and carry me to Bliss . Like cinnamon, fresh cut grass, honey, the crisp cool air of the mountains make me feel strong and confident, like I can soar with eagles.

I've been driven to agony by smells that none but me seem to notice.
I can smell ice. And it stinks.

A dirty bathroom makes me crazy.

I forgot about cigarette smell, I really hate that too! Especially when I'm in my car and I start smelling cigarette and then I look over and the person in the car next to me is smoking. That really upsets me that I'm being tortured by their smells when there's windows and doors between me and them.

When I was pregnant, the ice from the ice maker at work took on a weird garlicky smell, like slightly sour towels. :eew: I asked a lot of my coworkers and nobody else noticed it. And I'm glad you don't have to use my bathroom. My DS has some behavioural issues and it smells like the hippo house at the zoo in there sometimes. He gets bored and decides to play like the toilet is on fire and he's a fireman putting it out. :x

Varnish, oil-based paints, carpet glue, new carpet--all these have caused me to have to leave work early before. I'm okay with most perfumes, but there's one that a coworker wears that I think sticks to my nasal membranes at a molecular level and I can't stand it.

Among others listed above, I hate the smell of a room, dishes, utensils, etc. where there was an attempt to clean them but they either did not use soap or did not use enough soap. It is a very distinctive odor. I opt for the plastic utensils at the cafeteria at work when I can.

Cigarette Smoke and filthy ashtrays got them all beat. But, there are some colognes and shampoos that smell pretty bad.

Oddly, one of the smells that literally nauseates me is vanilla. My mom loved it and had candles everywhere that smelled like it, even though I hated it.

I normally love the smell and taste of vanilla extract that is used for cooking, but some of the vanilla room deodorizers are so overpowering they also make me feel nauseated and that is why I will not use them in my own house.

I'd say the biggest one for me is things like so called deodorants and perfumes.

I hate many smells. What I can think of now are:

cigarette smoke and anything cigarette-related
smokers' breath, clothing, body even when they are not smoking
bad breath in general
perfume smells in general
rubber burning
trash
trash people
toilet, urine, feces and everything associated with them
mold, salmonella, rotten food etc
grilled fish
ketone
chicken farm
gasoline
car exhaust
new car/bus interior
stink bug
some old people smell (medication? I don't know what it is but this smell comes only from old people (only some of them) )
