It's just another reminder that NTs' have some pretty strange wiring.

Meh, this is the second year I have done Black Friday and it takes lot of patience and slowing down so you aren't bumping or shoving into anyone and ramming your cart into people. Long lines and it's very crowded but last night wasn't bad where we went because it was a four hour deal they were doing at Toys R Us so the line wasn't too long and we were only there for an hour and a half. Twice it has never been nothing like you see in the media but I did see someone got hit by a car and I said to my husband "That is why you have to slow down on Black Friday. Someone got too excited and now they will be facing charges."

<--- Too claustrophobic for the hectic pace and close confines of Black Friday.

Shenanigans.

Lascivious tomfoolery.

(edit: I wasn't done)

Bourgeois despotism.

Hung-over materialism.

Why eBay was invented.

Did I mention lethal?

I'll hack things cheaper myself, thanks.

I agree Vicky although as a Canadian looking in it actually looks more like its isolated to those NTs who are American, although if those deals were offered here I know it would couse the same hysteria. They have been rebranding the flyers here is Black Friday recently although its simply the same weekly flyers rebranded.

I can get excited about a great deal as much as anyone else the only thing is it has to be something I wanted beforehand or something I require if I am going to camp out at a store and join a rat race. I really feel bad for all the poor low wage retail staff who get abused or trampled on becouse of this day of greed, what a great way to spend Thanksgiving.

Makes me thankful I live in Australia and barely go into shopping centres.

This is scary. This shopper was using a taser gun against other shoppers.

You can't get much more self-entitled than that. As if heart valve anomalies can be spotted through designer shirts...

I don't see the point of going out and buying things for the sake of buying things, and I value being able to sleep until 10:30am the morning after Thanksgiving more than I value accumulating more stuff.

Besides, Black Friday deals may not necessarily be real deals:

I hunt for bargains throughout the year, not just on black Friday.

I did some Black Friday shopping around 4 a.m. at Best Buy and Walmart. It wasn't crowded at all either for obvious reasons, quite the opposite actually. :)

A number of stores are open all-day on Black Friday starting at midnight(or earlier) for people that whine about the crowds and long-lines.

I will not go anywhere near any major shopping area in the next month.
Anything I get will be purchased online.
I am majorly crowd phobic.

I greatly dislike Black Friday: it's merely another day that demonstrates the materialistic greed of the majority of first-world people. I heard another story tonight of a Wal Mart employee who was trampled to death by the customers swarming through the doors; he was only 34. People losing their lives because of others' insatiable need for cheap things is the epitome of human absurdity.

An older-person usually has the door-greeter job at least that I've seen. Maybe they temporarily changed that for black Friday cause they mistakenly thought a 34 yr. old was more likely to survive. :?
