So what are your favourite sights sounds textures tastes and smells. I was walking home today and noticed that the ice/dew looks like static when its illuminated by the street lights. The sight is quite heady and I can almost hear the crackling and feel the tingling.

The smell of lilacs.
When I was a child every time one of our animals died we had a little service and my mom planted a lilac bush on the burial site. The bushes always flourished and I took it as a sign that my pets were letting me know they were doing well and waiting for me to meet with them some day. Whenever I smell lilacs I have, not sad, but happy thoughts of all my cats and dogs who were my companions for so many years.

BTW, Yes, I know dead animals make great fertilizer. Absolutely no need for anyone to burst my magical bubble by reminding me of this.

Swimming is my favorite sensory experience. Something about being submerged in water is completely relaxing to me.

Other sensory things I enjoy are scented candles, the scent of fresh laundry, the feeling of bed sheets/blankets on my body, hugging soft pillows/plushies, the scent and sound of rain, the sound of white noise, the scent of decaying plant matter in autumn, and the crisp scent and feeling of winter air.

When I get a haircut, I like how it feels when they run the clippers on the back of my neck, it sends a nice tingle down my spine.
And there's something I really like about the color indigo.

The first one that comes to mind is playing pool. I love the sound the pool balls make when they clack against each other, and it's fun just to grab one and hit the others around with it. I dont know how to describe it, but it's really fun to me.

I also like being fully wrapped in a blanket, as long as it's not extremely tight; if it is, I feel restrained. The only downside to this is that I cant do other things like play on my 3DS cause my hands are covered.

I really enjoy typing on laptop keyboards because of the way the keys click. I'd just sit there and hit a bunch of them all day if I could.

The smell of spaghetti and other Italian foods. Spaghetti is my favorite food ever, and whenever I smell it coming from the kitchen, I get really excited cause I know we'll be eating it that night.

Those are just some of them, but I can't really think of more right now.

Has anyone seen those massage bath mats. Theyre bath mats coated all over with stiff slightly malleable spikes. They feel quite remarkable. I ended up carrying one around the supermarket just for the textural buzz

tactile- laying in bed and sex and cool breeze on my face and a hug
visual- would be trees and hills. I drive country roads to calm down because I love the sight of nature so much. my other favorite thing to look at is an attractive woman
tastes- sweet, salty, savory
smell- vanilla, bodily smells (maybe it is pheromones?), bread cooking or sweets cooking, the smell of wood burning, a fire is also appealing visually and aurally.
sounds- good music, a girl's voice who I have a crush on. I fall in love with voices.

I really like deep pressure, like someone lying on me, even if it's just something small, like a cat resting on my feet. I just find it really relaxing :D

Oh, and I like listening to varied sounds, as long as they aren't too loud. I like visualising the sound: A short sharp sound looks like a flick, whereas a held note could be a long line :)

Lying in bed under a pile of heavy blankets on a cool fall morning. So warm. So comforting. :D

Do want.

I used to work at a (small) computer store when I was at college, and the sales floor had some of those mousepads with the silicone-gel wrist-rests on display so that customers could try them out. I would sometimes end up carrying one around the sales floor with me, just so I could squish it as I worked. :D

My mind immediately went to sorting dry beans. When ever I sort beans for cooking I will spend time sifting them through my fingers before I wash and cook them. I also love the feel of velvet, soft plush, and bunny fur or the fur of moms fluffy kittens, so so soft!

For sounds I love music (of course) and bells and wind chimes.

Visually pastel colors, soft flowing lines, and shiny stuff. I want to make a toad house this summer, paint it silver and glue blue and purple glass aquarium stones on it so it'll be shiny!

This is one of the best posts I have come across, I can relate strongly to almost all of the sensory stimuli you all mention. I love swimming as far as i can then just floating exhausted in the ocean, the swell and current embracing and rolling through me. before catching my breath and swimming back to shore. I think these sensory pleasures are the best thing about having Asperger's. the cracking of ice, being held tight. bliss

Being outside during a heavy storm, the way the wind hits your face makes me feel so alive :) The way the air feels right before a storm and walking through mist are also great.
Also, the taste of tomato ketchup, raisins and very dark chocolate.
Visually I like fire, dark clouds and that pinkish color the sky has in the morning.
I love the sounds of vintage 80s keyboards, most percussion, reverb and crackling fire.

1) The feeling of sun on my body when I'm on the beach
2) The feeling of my super-heavy comforter resting on top of me
3) The feeling of my dog snuggling next to me

Kiteboarding on the ocean. 8) It's absolutely perfectly counterbalanced bliss.. not sinking, not going up, just ripping across the surface of the water powered by the wind in my sail which I'm piloting. So, so, rad.

And also, of course.. ****ing. :p :D

i love your description!! !!

I like it when I am at a very good restraunt and get to enjoy food that takes my senses to heaven.
I am known to close my eyes, experience the sweet blockout of all other senses, and allow the food to take me where top cheifs want to take their lovers :-)

thankfully I have a small place right up the road from me that has a real chef who comes up with his own designs. I have been eating there a vew times a month for years. I recently noticed that the chef now peeks out of the kitchen from time to time and looks at my table

Heating pad or, for more natural sensation, toes going under sand. The pressure and texture relaxes me. Music is a plus.
