Just wondering if you as a teen feel like you get along with adults better than others, especially online?

I've always gotten along with adults better. When I was 7-8 years old, I used to sit by the old ladies on park benches. I liked that better than playing with the other kids.

Absolutely IRL. I'm currently in highschool and while I don't really get along with the other students, I have an excellent relationship with Steve, our head janitor as well as Bill, the principal of my "small school" (the school is devided up into five seperate schools with seperate staff including administrators). Bill also owns a book store just a few blocks from my house and sometimes lets me borrow books for free as long as he knows what book it is. He's a really nice guy. Most of the other students just kind of scare me.

On the internet, I usually try to find mature teenagers, but usually end up talking to at least a few adults.

I've always been this way. I just don't connect nearly as well with kids my own age. Most of my friends are at least a few years older, if not adults.

I've always seemed to get along better with older or younger people. When I was in day care, I spent much more time having discussions with my teachers than my classmates. When I was in 10th grade, my best friend was in 6th grade and another friend of mine was in her 60s. I never had many online friendships though because my parents were paranoid about that kind of thing (they still are, honestly) but the few I had were close to my age and most of them also had problems with making friends and fitting in.

As protocol with elders dictates a more formal social relationship, I found it easier to talk to adults/older people.

Also, as you age, you get tired of a lot of the "teen drama," so they don't play the same games your peers are into.

Yup, always have. Though not with authority figures, particularly those who used it to harm my routine ): When I was younger I craved a mature friend as I had 1 friend and he was immature, I did not succeed in keeping one but now I have me (: although I am not mature.

I tend to get along well with those that are outside my age group in general. When I was younger I got along better with adults than I did my peers. As an adult I find I get along well with the elderly and children but still not my peers.

As a kid I found adults to be much more interesting because of the things they talked about. Thier experience based knowledge was awesome. Rarely could I get a decent level of discourse out of anyone my age. I preferred t o play with kids my age, give or take, but to talk with adults.

Same. I just feel that I connect more with adults and they seem more interested in what I have to say

I feel like I get along with adults more than most people my age or younger, but it honestly depends on the person.

In terms of online, I don't notice any difference at all between age groups. The anonymity factor can turn any adult into a child, and any child into an adult.

I was oblivious to peers and adults, but the presence of adults was better than the presence of a bunch of screaming and moving children.

As a child and teenager I got along with adults much better then with my peers because I was more quiet then other teenagers.

As an adult I get along much better with children then with adults. Kids have not developed all those social rules, cues, not saying what they mean etc.
