I voted for very introvert. I don't like that at this time of year visitors arrive randomly without notice, and it takes a lot of energy to interact with them. In my teens I would retreat to my room, now I disappear to the kitchen and make tea, sandwiches ...'fresh scones anyone?' I'd even bake them a cake :)

It really does depend. If they're smart/passionate people (or even just kind-hearted), I'll happily talk to them for hours on end.
If they're cold, or (dare I use the word) 'common', then I'll tire of them quickly.

Used to think it was a disadvantage, now I don't.

It depends on my mood. For the most part, I'm introverted in real life, even though I'm a total goof-up.

Your poll options are a little bit slanted...

I'm rather ambivert, but leaning towards introvert in general regardless who I'm talking to. I almost never initiate unless needed. But I'm fine talking, not much as speaking... Just not talking about nothing but something like small-talk talks. I can cope with crowds long enough, but talking drains me no matter how good the subject is.

I'm more of an extrovert and outgoing.

I'm the one that is more likely to get to know the new person and welcome them in.
I also am more likely to talk to strangers or anyone who talks to me.

It exhausts me something terrible, but that's who I am.

It's an odd contradiction for someone who is diagnosed with severe AS.

I'm very introverted, although I find I can speak to people a bit more since I got my tinted glasses. This may sound really weird but I feel like they form a kind of barrier between the other person's eyes and my own so I feel..kind of less exposed???? More protected????
Told you it was weird.

Did you want people to vote introvert in some way or another, or something?

I'm an introvert. I just really like keeping to myself.

It all depends on certain factors, such as my mood or how well I know the individuals that I'm communicating with.
But for the most part, I consider myself an introvert.

I am very introverted, but like most other humans, I crave social interaction. I have select friends I trust and look forward to being around but for the most part, I enjoy my alone time. My job has very limited social interaction and most of my hobbies I enjoy by myself.

I'd consider myself an extrovert for the most part, though I can be overwhelmed sometimes. I do suffer from some social anxiety issues, but as long as I get passed the initial encounter stage, then I socialize good enough. Here's the weird side of it though... I'm the lead vocalist in a band and whenever I'm up on stage, I've found that I don't suffer from these issues at all. It's almost as if I'm... free.

I voted extreme introvert since I usually don't want to be around someone unless I love them. I also only want to be around one person at a time.

For me, it's a hard question to answer. If what you are asking is whether or not I am shy about approaching people to talk to them, nope! Do I spend a lot of time talking to people individually? Yep!

However, when other people are talking, I go into shutdown. People say, "Are you okay, Pudding? You're usually so talkative?" and I reply, "Well, you guys were talking, and I was listening!" and they're like, "Oh, that's weird. You're always just going and going," and I say, "Well, I sort of wish other people would fill in the silences more. It's exhausting," and they're like, "What's wrong with just silence?" and I say, "Because people start thinking I'm weird, and that makes them annoying," and they say, "We already think you're weird," and I say, "No, you KNOW I'm weird rather than thinking it, which makes you more manageable."

I also tend to preserve a handful of close relationships. I'm not one of those people who can say, "Yes, I've got a lot of little friends!" Nope, just me and my partner, trying to survive in the big, bad world.

I also cope very well with being alone for long periods.

Definitely the more introverted type. I hardly have friends and my family is pretty much the only people I socialize with. I don't really have a problem with people, I usually just have a hard time figuring out what to say. :|
