Here's one of mine:
"The effect of weathering on rocks."

Isn't it beautiful? Like lace.

I agree those rocks are beautiful. I am interested in flint knapping after seeing a youtube video of a guy who has been doing it most of his life, and that got me a little interested in rocks and weathering patterns on them, but it's not something I've thought about for a while.

One of mine is old maps around the places where I live. I love to see how the area has changed and envolved over the decades. Below is a 1860's map and a 1940's aerial photography of the same location. I find it amazing how accurate and beautiful the 19th century maps are given their lack of technology in those days.

Gosh, I'd need a lot of space for pictures of my special interests! People, birds, cats, plants, food, science, aspergers, novels, interior design, nature, animal welfare and protection, the politics of oppression and marginalised groups, maximising emotional health in distressed populations, trauma recovery, neurotransmitters and their effects on human mood and behaviour, addiction, theoretical physics, and cats. (Cats mentioned twice on purpose, not by accident :) and neuroplasticity (currently).

Hate to fulfil the stereotype, but...

You can thank Ringo Starr and a certain TV character for that...

Here is a 7 second video I took of two of my special interests, Placer gold mining and pre-90's Honda Civics

(Using the battery in the Civic to run my recirculating pump so I could go through some of my concentrates in the backyard last fall.)

Here are some that come to mind. Only 'guns' is really a current interest.

Retrospect is funny you know? I never suspected AS until I was 15. Now I can recall my obsession with space from around 5 to 7 or 8 years old. Then I made catapults and pvc bows. A few potato guns.... all the interests listed in the album. I never thought much of my space obsession... but now I'm sure it was AS related.

The Italian Renaissance (the picture is a sculpture of Machiavelli)
I'm getting more into architecture now, so I included that (Russian Hermitage Museum)
