For me:
-I am generally left perplexed by the standards imposed by Neurotypicals, especially the notion of seeking validation from others.. It has always confused me.
- When NT's care about what other people wear or how other people look. Maybe I am just oblivious, but I have never really noticed that someone looks "bad"until others point it out.. Like a while back, at school people were talking about how ugly some people looked in the prom photos, but for some reason I couldn't see what was wrong with them. ]
- How on Earth do NT's innately know what to do? It takes me a while to get to grips with what I should do in that present situation.

Superficial interests - fashion, makeup, appearance, et cetera.

The latest diet fads - kale is the big thing now; avocados, grapefruit, and green tea before then. What ever happened to the "Eat Less and Exercise More" diet?

Celebrities and celebrity gossip - are NTs lives so bland and miserable that they simply must live vicariously through the lives of the Rich & Famous? Pure stupidity.

only everything...

The ability to know what to say and do in the right moments. the ability to know what someone else is thinking or feeling, as if they have a channel to someone else's mind.

the need to belong that is so important to nts, but means so little to me, especially in large groups. the way they pay attention to strangers' lives, this is the crazy cats lady (me), and this one seems happily married. this interest in peolpe's lives whom they barely know. the desire to know their life story.

the herd mentality, to be, think, talk, dress like others.

They always seem to have so much fun and not care about anything. I know they have real problems, and do feel worried/embarrassed/upset, but I just don't see evidence of it in real life. I guess I'm just seeing how things appear, and not knowing how they actually are.

I also expect people to be like stereotypes from books, TV and movies: the "nerd", the "popular girl", the "teacher's pet", etc. So when people in real life are a lot less stereotypical and more complex, it really confuses me.

The NT world is so complex and tiring to me

That's the one thing about the NT world that I will never understand. I've lost interest in my same sex peers in high school because of that. I'd rather be myself, listen to The Kinks and look up to Mick Avory than be a part of that aspect of the NT world.

The biggest thing confuses about the "NT World", is seeing how they "all" like to do the things they do and get pleasure out of it and finding yourself not only not liking it, but also not understanding why they like it. You find yourself longing to fit in to the group, not because you like what they do, but because of the extreme peer pressure you're under.

Yes this is one thing that confuses me about them; they only consider others who dress and live and act in the expected way to them as human and not something weird or to be hated or outcasted

Aside from complicated and confusing, sometimes everything about it seems... Unnatural... What's "natural" to them is "unnatural" to me.

So to say, me acting NT is more like handling a complicated tool. And I'm bad at using of that tool.

I usually need the validation from otheres to avoid social mistakes. Like saying or doing something that may hurt or annoy other people.

That is the same exact feeling I have.. It just doesn't feel natural in the slightest. Everything about NT behaviour seems so artificial and forced at times.

I completely understand what you mean, it's like because they're able to easily interact and make sense of the world around them, they're able to see the bigger picture and be "carefree".. Whereas, I seem to have a cluttered mess that I need to sift through.. so there is constant anxiety which inhibits me from being carefree.

But also, the "carefree" attitude could merely be psuedo-stoicness.. An attempt to seem like they are maintaining composure, people like to put on a show in order to impress others.

Sports (not necessarily an Aspie vs NT thing).

What I don't understand is how can someone be so into sports, soccer for example, even though they've never touched a ball in their life? What's so good about watching people running around kicking a ball for hours?

Watching sports for 15 minutes bores me to death. I don't understand how people can watch entire leagues, and then discuss them fanatically for hours, and have fights over incredibly stupid things, and I don't think I ever will.

- sports
- fashion
- weight loss and dieting
- the whole obsession with conformity
- the whole obsession with hyper-masculinity
- hip-hop culture
- people defining themselves by their wealth and careers
- people who only look out for themselves and don't give a crap about other people (ironically, aspies are often accused of this, but I think NTs can be MUCH worse about it, partially because they often do it deliberately)
- social cues and non-verbal communication
- people who don't understand things like OCD, depression, anxiety, etc.
- people who act like they're always happy all the time
- people who like dumb things like pop music and "reality" TV

I have to agree. I have always found sports, particularly team sports, confounding. I lack what is needed for the apprehension of pretty much anything team oriented. I don't have a "need to fit in", and have a genuine lack of understanding of physical competition. Not to offend sports fans, but I see sports as a left-over from our primitive past. Anthropologically, what are sports after all, but the celebration or re-creation of the hunt, the war/battle, or hormones driving the innate animal instinct of competition. Sports are definitely far to primitive a collection of behaviors for me to put any intellectual attention to. I don't see any purpose for hunting in this modern age of supermarkets. I abhor the violence of war. And feel no compulsion whatever to test my clumsy, limited physical abilities against those of others. I truly regard my body as simply that collection of physical facilities necessary to support the processes and mechanisms of my mind.
