I grew up on a farm, so I've always had a special bond with animals. Especially cats! There's a book out right now called "All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome" by Kathy Hoopmann that I really want to take a look at.

Due to where I live now and the person I live with, I can only have a dog...but I love him dearly too.

Gorillas are my favorite animal and I'd give anything to be able to work with them, like Dawn Prince-Hughes.

Yes. I get on quite well with other animal lovers, though.

Yes, animals do not judge me, and unlike people, they seem to know who I am inside this wretched skin.

Nope, most animals hate me just like humans do.

Well, I did have a hermit crab who was like my best friend, but she died.

Oh, I'm so sorry! My ferret, who was like my little son, died recently and it was heartbreaking. :(

Claire died around three years ago, and she was probably the first pet I had.

I communicate so well with my cats that they don't even bother to meow at me.

I meow back and forth with my cats. We have entire conversations.

Soemone once called me a "cat whisperer" because I did such a good job calming down this litter of feral kittens we found at work once. Everyone else was afraid of them (they'd never been handled by humans before and were technically wild).

I seem to get more upset over the death and abuse of animals than I do over humans....

Animals are much better than humans sometimes.

No, actually... most animals ran away from me when I was a child :(. The family cat hated me. Most dogs didn't like me either. Then around age 12 or so I tried reaching out more to animals and was able to befriend some stray dogs and stray cats. But some dogs still react badly to me :(.

My dog Morgan is my best friend ever. I don't get to see his wife Footsie (the cat) as much as she still lives at home. I have a new friend too, he's a red Siamese Fighting Fish named Oy (I got the name from a Stephen King book-guess which), and we're getting along okay. It's so much easier with an animal, but whenever I used to take him places with my few human friends they all got up me and said he didn't need to go everywhere.

I get along very well with animals. They always seem to approach me. I feel more attatched to cats and dogs in particular, than I am to people.
