...which would it be and why?

My three major special interests are I Love Lucy, Cedar Point and their roller coasters, and science. I think my choice would have to be science. While I can't even imagine never watching another episode of Lucy or riding the Magnum ever again, I suppose I could deal with it. After all, I usually only get to go to Cedar Point once a year, and I often go weeks/months without watching a Lucy episode.

On the contrary, I indulge in science most days. It's what I've made a career out of, and I read science books almost every day. Plus, of the three special interests, science has been around the longest. I've been into anatomy/physiology since about age 3. So, I really can't remember life without science.

And I realize this question is geared towards those of us who have more than one major special interest. So, for those of you with only one, lifelong special interest, why is that one so important to you (and sticks around instead of you changing topics)?

If I could pick one special interest, it would be cats (and animals) forever and always. My cats were an endless source of comfort to me in the hard times and an endless source of entertainment in the good times.

Oh wow, this is hard! I would probably choose America’s Got Talent, just because I could never imagine not seeing it ever again. I don’t usually mention it that much on here, but it is one of, if not my favorite, interest.

^^^For some reason, I thought you would pick "autism" as your special interest.

I really enjoy researching ASD, and all medical topics, but even still, I don’t have the same “love” for it that I do for America’s Got Talent. Thankfully this is just a hypothetical situation  I would be doomed.

Birds.

Birds are a very diverse group of organisms which occupy almost every environment on the planet. You can't really understand birds without also studying the places where they live, feed, breed and migrate, and how they are affected by environmental factors such as weather and climate, so "birds" is a pretty broad subject. Certainly interesting enough to keep me occupied for several lifetimes.

I'd choose Routemasters because those were the best looking street vehicles of all time.

Astronomy. Everything else stems from it.

If I had to I'd choose politics. It might do some good for the world one day.

Just one? Then I'd choose "special interests" as my special interest. That way I could study any special interest!

People for me.
I love psychology, I want to understand men and women, relationships, society, how different background have and effect on who you become.
I love people watching.
I observe women how they behave when interacting with men.
This is almost like the Animal Planet for me "watching documentaries about other species".

If i could only pick one special interest, it would be robotics or psychology. It was difficult enough to narrow it down to these two, so i am sorry if i missed the point of the main topic ;)

My three major special interests are hip hop music, Grand Theft Auto (the game series), and Rick and Morty
I'll choose hip hop music because I've gone some days without playing a Grand Theft Auto game (not that long tho, like 2 or 3 days), and I've gone days without watching or doing anything related to Rick and Morty (same with GTA, like 2 or 3 days). But I haven't gone a day without listening to a rap song since I started listening to rap (I was eight years old)

I can't choose! Probably physics because it is the most useful.
