Many times Ive suggested that they place a little thing at the top of the pages of wrong planet called "glossery of frequently used terms on Wrong Planet". With an emphasis on mental health related terms.

A newcomer could click it to see WTF folks are saying.

Like how "WP" means "Wrong Planet", and "DX" means "diagnosis", and so on.

This is real helpful, I think it should be pinned, certainly more useful than some things that have been pinned for years.

Newcomers hafta know what an "OP" is, and on the Love and Dating they need to know what a "PUA" is.

One correction: MDD means major depressive disorder. Manic depressive now falls under bipolar. Don't get me wrong, though, I'm very impressed by your work!

I would make this thread into a sticky but either I cannot figure out how to do this or I have not been granted access to that function by Alexander Plank.

you have to ask the powers at be. Like write a moderator. And they discuss with alex, or whatever they do. And they then give it a sticky. You cant just click something on the screen and do it yourself without permission.

EI can also mean employment insurance, at least it does in Canada.

Why is abbreviation such a long word?

Surely imho means "why don't you all just shut up and listen to me 'cause you have no idea what you are talking about".
