137

I've recently taken this IQ test which placed me in the gifted percentile of its participants. Now I have never considered myself that intelligent because the last IQ test I took scored me around 125 about 3 years ago at the age of 23. I was wondering if any aspies out there would consider their IQ's truth or embelishment.

Last one was MENSA. Got 155. It only goes up to 160.
Also had one when I was 9. Was 140s then.
Intelligence is relative.
One can have a high IQ and still be stupid. The fact one can take one IQ test and get one result, and another-another result, proves how invalid they are really.

I took mine when i was about 12... scored 143... i was pissed because i thought that was low... over time i realized that the questions were the same every time, so it should be easy to mess with the results...

I took 5 online. I took the Tickle.com one 3 or so years ago and got 127, I took it again the next day after sleeping and got 129. I took the Mensa one and got 100. I took another one and got 131. I took the Ultimate IQ test on Tickle (not just the normal one) and got 106. My average 1s 119. I'm the dumbo on this board. :D \

And I'm going to the shrink to take another IQ test today, so this thread came at just the right time! I can't wait for my results and my diagnoses of stuff! :D

I average about 130, which I believe to be accurate considering I have learning disabilities in 2 of the 4 sections (math/logic-oriented questions) BUT I am very much above average in visual spatial/verbal.
In the end, it balances itself out to a decent score.

Usually I am in the high 120's-low 130's (ho hum.)
Generally lower than that of my friends it seems.

The highest score I have gotten was 132, I think.
Am very bad at math...good at verbal stuff...
um...
I don't like to put a whole lotta weight on i.q. scores...We each have our own type of intelligence that is singular and unique, regarless of what the numbers say.

In school, mine was in the 150's. This did nothing but get me in trouble since I didn't study (because I wasn't interested). If I had spent the time studying that I did reading plays and musicals, I would have gotten all A's, I have no doubt.

This does not make me really smart, by the way. Ask my wife, or anyone who knows me.

I got 147 for my verbal IQ on the WISC-III. The WISC-III tops out generally in the 140s though due to ceiling effects, so really I should have been given the Stanford-Binet to see what my IQ really is.

If you guys are using Internet IQ tests, I'd recommend doing a real, properly administered test before declaring the notion of IQ as bunk.

It's an Internet test, of course it's going to be bunk. It's just a thing people do for fun.

ok well i did a different test and scored 122. I think the lower score from the previous test is more likely. but i think really everyone should be doing the same test for this thread to show results more accurately.

I don't really know, and I don't think that an IQ test could ever tell the whole story. I spend so much time in a serotonin haze that my mind is unfocused most of the time, but my mind also has remarkable capabilities. What I can do depends entirely upon what you ask me to do. I can do amazing things if I'm applied correctly. I'm a shapeshifter of sorts. If caught on the wrong day, I'd flunk a personality test. On a good day...sky's the limit.

Haven't done a proper one since I was 15, out of a book. It was the first of 3, and the early one was weighted to give more accurate results between 100 and 130, with the highest possible score as 138. I went off the scale for that, and it only took me 45 minutes for the hour long test. Other internet stuff has pegged me in the high 120s generally, but I'm out of practice with the math stuff, so I'd expect to do worse than I did at school. I'm guessing if I started getting back into studying logic puzzles, I could push my scores up pretty high. My dad used to be a math teacher, and he'd teach his students how to think to increase their IQ scores. He said you could usually push someone's score up by 10 points if they were willing to put the work in.
