Hi everyone,

I wanted to start a thread to show some appreciation for one of our fellow members, Wrongplanet veteran shortfatbalduglyman (called “Man” hereafter). Like many of us, he has been navigating life with autism, and it sounds like Thanksgiving might be a tough time for him this year.

Man, I just want to say that you are a valued part of this community. Your posts are honest and unfiltered, which is something I admire. It’s not easy to speak so openly about struggles, and I think that kind of authenticity matters more than we realize.

Even if things feel bleak right now, I hope you know that you’re not alone. Your words resonate with people here, and there are others who care. If anyone has words of encouragement, memories of Man’s contributions, or just something kind to share, this is the place to do it.

Let’s show Man some support and remind him (and anyone else feeling the same way) that there’s a whole community here that appreciates them.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and Man - we’re glad you’re here.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who will be alone for the holiday, or with trying family, or in difficult gatherings to navigate.

Special hello and good wishes to shortfatbalduglyman.

There are times when SFBUM speaks for all of us. (or at least those who don't mind swearing :D)

Yes, I support those navigating challenging times.

If I may suggest to this user - consider a new username.

When you affirm to yourself (by using the handle whenever you post)
that you are fat and ugly, how is that good for your self esteem?

I realize the handle may have been made tongue in cheek, but I think it's
not the healthiest handle.

You cannot eat this appreciation, so it's a bit worthless. But.. idk.
Keep it chill bro, go camping, try squatting or something.

I send well wishes to shortfatbalduglyman.

He seems chronically depressed and isn't afraid to demonstrate that. Good luck to him and in his job at... Home Depot I think it is?

I think about the transgressions of Kaylab*tch and Ronaldop*nis more often than you might imagine. I wonder how they'd react if they knew that on the other side of the world there's a guy they've never met who knows about them.

I like Sfbum's relentlessly downbeat contributions and use of the word s**t as punctuation. I hope in reality there are moments of joy between the frustrations of locked litterboxes and thoughtless Home Depot customers.

I can certainly relate to a lot of what SFBUM has been saying, especially more recently, so the guy definitely gets my vote of solidarity.

it is not possible to objectively measure "health" per se. besides, only one handle is "the healthiest" handle.

and quite frankly, i think almost everyone acts like they have way too much self esteem. almost everyone i have ever interacted with, acts like they are a lot more valuable, wise, intelligent, and morally innocent, than i perceive that they are. (confidence not proportional to competence.) but that is just my *opinion*, not a fact, not a law, not a social norm, not an algebraic axiom, not a PubMed article, not a geometric proof.

"Keep it chill bro, go camping, try squatting or something."

what is "squatting"? and what is "or something"?

yes, home depot.

been diagnosed clinically depressed. but "depressed" is a diagnosis, not an emotion. i do not see any point in having to try to "fake" it. ("pseudobulbar affect"). especially online.

kayla b***h only cares about herself & $$$ and i find it extremely difficult to imagine that she would "react" at all. kayla b***h and rolando penis know full well, in 2024, anyone with internet access could write anything on Internet forums, and anyone anywhere in the solar system might answer. besides, kayla b***h has been running her McDojo (or cult) for plenty of years, and plenty of customers come from other countries (such as germany) just to visit her.

kayla b***h does not: consider someone else's perspective, know how to apologize, care about anyone except herself, care about anything besides $$$$. "some people practice what they preach. some people practice preaching." "pick your battles" is good advice, but some annoying lil dipshits, such as kayla b***h, pick "all" the battles. (rolls eyes).

Yes indeed. Thank you SFBUM for telling your story honestly and candidly, and getting through life a day at a time in spite of it all. You have helped me more than you know.

Have an excellent Thanksgiving. You are not alone. Keep on keeping on.

How about "Compact - Ample - Hair-free - Unique - man ?"

Now there's a positive spin!

I want to say also - Compactamplehairfreeuniqueman has a good writing style that draws us into his world. I'm there at the Home Depot, pushing carts across the lot with him.
