Dead wrong. I have been recruited to do improv or stand-up comedy. My other Aspie friend is a scream - hysterically funny. I don't know where his humor comes from, but mine often revolves around the Aspie-ness of taking words and using their alternate meanings to create funny situations. I _LOVE_ making people laugh.
Got humor? Cool. BTW this wasn't a wrong or right survey, - just true or false. Now - humor eh? I've been on this forum for almost 4 months now and haven't ONCE read anything even remotely funny. Why is that? Are AS'ers closet humorists? George Carlin - Dave Attel make me ROTFL. Other than that.....stupid, viral humor doesn't grab me. And I have a feeling that is what comes to mind when a sense of humor is brought up. *Oh yeah, I got a sense of humor! I love those talking cow beer commercials!*
Well, this forum isn't exactly one full of the ridiculous... in reality I'm constantly laughing or making others laugh, but the topics on here are all pretty serious most of the time, so aren't going to be attracting much laughter. I don't know about you, but I can certainly tell when it's appropriate to take the piss or not. And mostly on here it isn't. It's nice to be able to talk about things seriously for once that most people wouldn't even attempt to discuss with others, without starting to get silly - I love serious discussions about big topics, so I enjoy being able to have that on here.
As for laughing at others' misfortunes... nope, can't say I've ever done that. I hate seeing other people upset or hurt; why would I laugh?
