There have been many topics, one currently, about age of dads and its relation to AS and/or autism. I thought a poll would be a cleaner way of asking the same question.

I was also adopted, and my father i think was 37 when i was adopted, but i was also the 3rd child adopted...

AGE1600, I meant biological parents at the time of my birth. Adoptive parents don't count with genetics.

I think my dad was about 37ish when I was born, my mom was about 36.

My ex was 24 when our ASD kid was born, and 26 when the NT kid was born.

But there's another set of data that points to the grandmothers of boys on the spectrum, that is their being older when they give birth to daughters who then give birth to (grand)sons on the spectrum.

My grandmother was in her late thirties when she had my mom.

Anyway, no individual case disproves the hypothesis, the scientists just find interesting trends that apply to a significant number of individuals, but not everyone.
