Are consistantly Autistic or does it get worse and better at times?

Sometimes I cannot talk on the phone, or fear the phone. Other times, not problem. I hate snail mail. I cannot seem to do it in a timely fashion. Geesh, it so hard to read mail and respond to it. I would rather build a website than respond to letter in the mail.

So some days I feel worthless, unable to function and respond. Others, I everything is 110% I am sharp, can think, function, and pretty much do everything very easily.

Is this common with all of you? Or are your abilities and inabilities to function the same day to day?

Some days it's just unbelieveably pathetic how social I can't be. Other days it's like I'm not even autistic..

I just seem to have constant, and very large, fluctuations in ability, as well as tradeoffs from one ability to another. (Like, "Okay, you can either understand your surroundings or move, but not both.")

My boy is like that too. He will have days (not many tho) where he is easy and others where he is tricky.

Same here. Does it have something to do with exactly how the blood is flowing through one's brain at the time?

My autism used to vary alot before I went on a special diet and took probiotics. It still varies now, just not nearly as much.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I can say that it varies from year to year, too.

Looking back at my life so far, I can see periods when I did better, and times when I did worse.

I don't think so because I've found that I can talk to people a lot more easily now!

I have days when I skip around, jumping up and down and flapping and days when I just leave with a smile on my face. I have days when I can do a task just perfectly fine, such as that I was helping at a catering last weekend, people all around me chatting in foreign languages and demanding a drink and then I also have days when I keep stopping every few metres in my own house just on my way to the kitchen to get a bloody simple glass.

Some days just feel more autistic than others, mainly when I realise my sensory issues are worse than yesterday. That one I can feel, just because everything is so noisy and fast around me, whereas I have a clear memory of the world going much slower on the day before.

Then I also have days when the world is in unbearable slow motion, but that's just the ADHD days. I wish I'd have these more often, I always risk being killed in traffic because i fail to pay attention, but on the bright side, these days are full of fun, because other people think that being hyperactive means being happy and they get all excited when they are in my presence.
