Hey it just that I see it all the time in movies and television and it looks so great and I love it. I want to see that statue of liberty and some other buildings. I would go to Conan O'brien, to NBA basketball match and to some conserts artists that I like! :)

Somebody from New York. Is it great to live there?

My sister lives there, and at first it was overwhelming for me to visit, but I really like it now. I started enjoying the city when I learned to use the subway and bus system, and also what areas to avoid. I run in Central Park, go to museums, libraries, jazz clubs -whatever. I like sitting in a coffee place and people watching for hours. It is easy to people watch because there are so many people all of the time and you can be anonymous. There is way too much to do.

It is also very expensive and hard to make a living and find a convenient apartment. Unless you have a trust fund or a great job, it is probably better to visit than to live there.

I'll pass, unless it's depopulated by a giant monster, of course.

I'll take my chances with the giant monster.

It's fun to visit. Everywhere you go, there's something interesting to see.

It's like walking through a huge movie set.

I've been once. I liked it.

I actually find that in bigger places its less scary, London is less scary than my local town except at weekends which I would never go out on.

You don't just get beat up in the ghetto. You must be careful wherever you are in New York City. I prefer the beautiful countryside in Upstate New York to living in a crowded, noisy place as New York City.

I've been to New York 3 times in past year to go shopping and to take dance classes.

I was born and raised in New York and lived there for the first 35 years of my life. It has changed greatly in my lifetime and I much preferred the New York of my childhood. It is, comparatively, much more expensive, still very dirty and noisy. I much prefer Helsinki now, but there are still some fabulously wonderful museums there if that is where your interest lies.

I was there for six hours once.

I found out I couldn't stand in the middle of Time Square and yell "YATTA!! !!" Mostly because the crowd was constantly moving and there was traffic everywhere.

I highly recommend looking for a pizza place if you visit there. No trip to New York is complete without ordering a slice of pizza from a fat Italian guy.

And yes, Central Park ROCKS. They did an excellent job of keeping that place clean. The whole time I was there, I didn't see any garbage or run into any homeless people.

Honestly NYC is pretty much the safest large city in the USA (for what that's worth...). Your chances of running into trouble are fairly low as long as you don't do anything stupid (like go to the Bronx...). Its murder rate for the whole city is only ~7 murders per 100,000, and its probably dramatically lower than that for Manhattan. The average for the whole country is only like 4.

I want to go too! We should organize a communal house in NYC!
