My jaw used to give me trouble, but lately it's been my hips. Actually, they've had a tendency to dislocate for years...but recently they ache and burn a lot and become so sore that I walk with a limp for days on end. The docotor Xrayed them and said they look just fine!! ! They sure as heck don't feel fine... He did mention that one leg was slightly longer than the other, so I put an insole in the leg that was shorter (the alternate hip was the one that was in pain). This got rid of nearly all the pain almost overnight- as long as I continue wearign the shoes that have the insoles. When I don't, or if I lift too much weight (puts extra pressure on my hips) or walk too far, they hurt again.

I've heard that having loose joints means a tendency to suffer from RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury), I have both.
I guess if that link is real, then with so many of us being relatively intense computer users, I bet there's a few of us with wrist/arm/shoulder/neck problems from using computers too.

My feet, toes and ankles drive me up the wall! My feet can cramp up and all my toes dislocate. It REALLY hurts!

I used to dislocate my shoulder all the time. Even rolling over in bed could do it. I don't think it has anything to do with AS - it's just a loose tendon. Lots of NT people have those. One of my coworkers just had surgery to shorten his achilles tendon because his ankle was causing problems.
I can pop almost any joint in my body from my neck to my toes. It really freaks people out when I twist in my chair and they hear my back popping.

I did dislocate my right shoulder once after a bicycle accident.
that is the solid proof of your AS....of course that never happens to NTs as they have Adamantium skeletons, unlike us aspies who only have the humble bone.

Yeah, I'm not sure. That's sort of what I thought about my jaw and hips, too. But the only other girls I've located who also have the hip-dislocation-during-sex problem are also aspie. My doctor, when asked, said that it was not a common problem at all.
I have really bad knees, but; I think it is more because I trained horses. Another thing that bothers me is my feet. I wear orthodics because of Plantar Fasceitis (sp).
Is there studies that indicate Aspies have more of these problems?
