I have found that I speak in an almost poetic way, and that everything has a beat to it, although it is more like a beat in the sense of how Shakespeare would put something, and that most of what I say has a poetic flow to it. How do you speak you sentences in general?

verbosity and flourishes. also an uncanny ability for mimicry. sometimes i stutter - only very occasionally. most of my exchanges beyond the homefront i rehearse - if i have to go somewhere i usually try to operate to a formula that i have preplanned.

i speak for hours about my special interests. althoug i am starting to understand people are just plain bored by me when i hit those topics.

Yeah, I find that I stutter on rare occasions, mostly when I am way beyond over tired.

I tend to speak using a bigger vocabulary than most. I often stutter or stop mid-sentence flapping my hands or bouncing up and down trying to get out the right words. When I'm around people my voice is very soft and I often have one of my hands over my mouth, so people can never hear me right. When I talk to my family it's often a bit louder and more childlike, however.

I speak in a very monotonous and flat voice. I found that when I’m excited I tend to stutter and stammer sometimes. I also tend to talk very fast when I’m excited, which may have something to do with my stuttering. When I’m not excited, (almost always) I never have problems with stuttering.

It varies with who I'm around. I tend to adapt my speach patterns and language to fit the company. I can speak quite properly, or I can speak ghetto, and anything in between.

Sometimes I speak really quickly if in a group setting because I want to get a point across and don't like being interrupted. Then I go back to being quiet but I have been told my voice is monotonish for a girl. I don't think everyone has that same opinion though not sure.

Have been told I have interrupted in conversations or not talking enough so it's damned if you do damned if you don't.

I don't always get the right words out and it will come to me later so I prefer writing over talking. I also rub my palms when speaking and use hands alot. I can't stand the sound of rubbing my own hands together but feel like it's difficult to stop.

I trip over my words a lot. My sentences are rather centric oriented, almost all of them beginning with "I" or "You" or "It." I use a large vocabulary. I have a very high and childlike voice. When I get excited my voice volume raises unintentionally and I'll flap, though I flap when I can't find the right word either.

When I'm with my close friends I talk very childlike and "cute" and I'm always spazzing out. I get about 10X more gay when I'm around my friends. XD

Around people I don't know that well, I'm pretty much the opposite. I'm very soft spoken, quiet, and polite. I have an extremely hard time making any sort of eye contact with them, which can come off as rude. I look at them as much as I can handle and when I do look away, just seem distracted so I don't come off as rude.

When I'm around little kids or people I'm really uncomfortabe around my voice gets goofy, high pitched, and sugary. (my mom does the same thing, I think that's where I get it from)

I think the only times I really talk like me are when I'm talking to my family or talking to myself.

I have also found that I have excessivly long monologues whenever possible. I have 3 voices, plus a few others I don't really use. The main three I use all the time. One for when I'm excited, one that is my normal, and one for when I am very relaxed or uncomfortable with a situation.

speak most through TTS [text to speech] and makaton, prefer makaton signing as it comes naturally almost, and because with tts, people always look at the screen when am typing something out for the program to speak-and they will finish off the sentance themselves-usually getting it wrong, but overloading and confusing am in the process.
have got limited [echolalic] speech when verbal-which isn't often, that depends on when a certain part of the brain wants to work or not, also have to back it up with makaton,am glad it exists as have never been able to learn BSL.
accent in speech is southern, not northern,as have had this mentioned before, but am would think this is due to not connecting with anyone around am growing up and not picking up accents, like non auties/aspies do.
another manchester autie am used to live with [p/autistic] spoke like a southerner as well, probably better than southerners do.
accent in TTS is american lady, because it's the only one they have in vista, they downgraded from the choice in xp,eventually will have a handheld tts at one point, but trying to get anything through ST or OT takes years.

Same here.

I also tend to speak waayy too quietly when I am around alot of people or when I am uncomfortable.
I usually speak in grammatically correct sentences, and when I make an error, I will say the sentence again and again until I get it right.
When I am happy and relaxed, my voice becomes louder and somewhat childish, but still with an "advanced" vocabulary. It really surprises people sometimes.

Sometimes I speak perfectly fine and other times I either speak gibberish (not real words coming out of my mouth) or very disorganized its called "word salad" in schizophrenia which I have been diagnosed with. How evil! My doctors are all evil and graduated from Evil Medical School which as a whole class just about me and how to call me schizo! I think its all autism and not schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder because that would mean that I am out of touch with reality!
