Same here. Especially if it is a sudden and unexpected loud noise. I always plug my ears when I know one is about to take place.

I'd like to shoot, but the noise from the gun makes me shy away. (more so if I am not the one shooting)

I don't shout or make any noise but I can see it in my eyes as flashes of light

When I was a kid living about 1 mile from an Air Force base, I would cover my ears and scream at the noise. I do not scream at other noises such as a doorbell, alarm clock, etc but I do get extremely jumpy. Noises like smoke detectors and burglar alarms are on a while different level. As a child I would scream but as an adult I just get extremely disoriented and cover my ears. I cannot make myself press the 'test' button on a smoke detector, so unfortunately I do not know if I am safe in my home or not.

None. I think it's uncalled for so I don't. I just cover my ears. I did as a kid though but not as an adult or in my teens. But I yelled at my brothers to be quiet.

Music in stores bothers me A LOT. I think it is intrusive, and when it is loud it is really upsetting, and so I can't be in the store. I don't think people should have to listen to someone else's choice of music when all they are doing is trying to buy groceries. I think it is ridiculous. I don't yell, though, when there is a loud noise, never have. If I did, I would just be adding to the loudness. I don't like to yell or be around yelling.

I only hate the noise when they are monotone such as a siren or an intercom going off. I once got so irritated at the music being played on hold that I turned up my own music to compensate it.
Any sudden noise I hear, I just turn to it quickly. Nothing from my reflexes otherwise. No rushing of the heartbeat.
Music in stores, I hate as well... WHY!?!

I have no problems with loud noises, it's the quiet ones that no one else hears that are the problem!

sometimes I shout, other times I wince. I usually do cover my ears if the noise is really bothering me. Sometimes it's so bad I'll have to leave.

I am sensitive to loud noises and can jump pretty high, with my arms flying out every which way, whenever it takes me by surprise. When I am startled by noise, though, I really don't yell very much because I'm too busy trying to catch my breath.

I haven't got too much of a problem with loud noises, I don't do the whole covering my ears thing, although I am quite jumpy with sudden shouts or bangs. Also the other year I was hanging out wth my friend and we were mucking about with an air horn/klaxon type thing, and when it was my turn to press the button I was too much of a wimp to press it properly because I know how noisy it is

I can't tolerate noise well.

Escalations in tones of voice bother me. I hate loud exhaust from vehicles. Loud music is tolerable but only if it's music I like. I hate noises in restaurants. Forks scraping plates. The sound of people drinking. Swallowing. Chewing.

Too many conversations going on at once is not tolerable.

In my old house. The crickets chirping outside the window drove me insane. It felt like they were in my head instead of outside.

Sudden loud noises that occur in a film I am viewing make me jump. And shake me up inside.

I have always been sensitive to sound.

As I have gotten older I can cope with sound far better than I did when I was younger. I always wished I could turn my ears off when I was growing up.

I don't shout, but I do cringe and stumble away from the source of the noise.
