I have just started hugging a lavendar wrap in bed (like a long squishy bean bag you microwave) as feels/smells nice. My husband got a sharp NO! when he tried to remove it

You are never too old! I'm nineteen and sleep with a stuffed frog called Smoochy, and I'm not planning on stopping any time soon.

My dogs sleeps in the bed with me, and I don't have any of my stuffed animals at my apartment, but I do talk with them when I'm at my parents' house; my parents/brother do as well when I'm there (despite them not having AS as far as I can tell).

My mom still thinks it's so weird that when I "ran away" for a night when I was a teenager, I brought my stuffed animals of choice with me.

I don't cuddle a teddy but I have one in bed with me, and I like to make sure he looks comfortable before I go to sleep.

But hopefully soon I will have my gorgeous man to cuddle with in bed.

Still do. I didn't through like, high school, but then I just figured "well f**k, I like my teddy bear, and he's been a much better friend to me than any of my friends who'd diss me for sleeping with a teddy bear." And so I do. I like stuffed animals, actually, and I feel really sad if anyone like breaks one or throws one out.

I also listen to really girly eurodance, eurobeat, and Japanese pop. And I'm attempting to be a good figure skater, too. Figure skating is pretty hardcore, though. It only has the "gay" reputation in America, in Russia, figure skaters are regarded manly as all hell.

But yes, here's a sampling of the type music I like to listen to maybe...70-80% of the time?

(eurodance)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uC7Z_bb3QR0 Perfume - Dream Fighter (jpop)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kC2UCM-1ST4 Susan Bell - My Only Star (eurobeat)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6-OummBitg TM Network - Faire La Vise (older jpop)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9I1Szfr6lM Sebrero - Let's Hold Hands (Russian pop)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBo5DxhJ12w Angelika Varum - Winter Cherry (Russian pop)

That's a good sampling of what I listen to, I guess. I'm really figuring it has something to do with my NVLD affecting emotional maturity and whatever, why I like music like that.

well, i think it's neat to have a better sense of what you are about. sometimes a forum can be 2-dimensional. plus i think people are drawn to others who are confident in their interests, even if they are atypical in terms of age or gender. i work with a 50 year old man who coaches football, and he is really into Hello Kitty, for example, and he is very masculine. i remember about your figure skating on another thread - it stuck in my head.

My cat sometimes sleeps on my pillow. She's the only teddy I need. I can't really put up with the clutter of soft toys. They end up falling off my bed.

I sleep with a stuffed animal because without anything in my arms when I'm lying down my arms feel empty and it's distracting.

I sleep with a Wild Republic Parasaurolophus plush that I bought from the Natural History Museum the last time I visited. The label said it was a "cuddlekin" so I have named him Cuddlekins. I don't need him for the comfort or anything, and I don't really hug him when asleep, but I bought him because Parasaurolophi are my favourite animal genus, and he just sits on my pillow all the time, above my head.

Considering he's a soft toy, he's quite anatomically correct.

Yes, I usually sleep with a plush animal, even though I'm 29 years old now.

I always slept with plush animals when I was a kid, but sometime when I was a teenager I decided I was getting too old for it, so I stopped sleeping with them and instead just kept them near bed for a couple of years, and eventually packed them away, all except one. That one I'd sleep with on a rare occasion, when I was feeling really bad. About 4 years ago I decided to start sleeping with my plush animals again. I now collect plush animals and sleep with one almost every night.

No sleeping with any stuffed animals. But I have a particularly cute 7"-high teddy bear my now-wife sent me a few years ago, and he sits on top of my desktop computer. Never thought I'd become attached to a stuffed toy in my 30s, but there you go. Although his head's not so attached to him, as of late. Time for repairs!
