Rdos, if you are reading this.. there are two types of tests for autism spectrum that I would like to see.
The first one would be a very tight criteria for testing for autism/aspergers in mature (30+ adults). It would really help those of us that have did a lot of adapting.
Thesecond would be a double blind test, where people attempt to answer questions as closely to NT as possible. This second test would be very indicative of misconceptions of NT thinking and be a good indicator of neuro-atypical thought.
Could you be more specific? I don't think I'd like the idea of a test that is very tightly coupled to the diagnostic criteria. Too much of secondary problems there. As I understand it, you must have problems to receive the dx, but I think people can end up as "very likely Aspie" in the quiz and still be quite functional in society.
Anyway, we are heading for a more stable version with a experimental section that will vary. The R1-release is a first step in this direction. An additional benefit of a more stable test is that people can translate it into other languages without a need to accomodate for constant change.
I also have an idea to use slightly different questions for people under 20 or so. Some of the questions are hard to understand for minors and should be replaced with school-related issues. Since the quiz already asks for birth year I could just present different versions depending on age.
But, I have a good grasp on rdos. Would you, Fuzzy, like to contact me directlly on
That's really my name you know? gwynfryn, that is; I'm prepared to debate directly with anyone who contests my views.
