anybody remember "I'm Pat!"?

I believe it may be called It's Pat. I have never seen it before, though.
It is "It's Pat" and had the boyfriend (?) "Chris"

The gender ambiguous person. Someone described it to me once, and it sounds hilarious. :D But Ive never caught on it TV yet.

It was funny and it poked fun at everybody's expectations and how a person, just by virtue of being themselves, threw everyone for a loop as well as skewered those expectations.

I seem to be a tonsorial outlier in this day and age, I wear my hair down my back while 99.99% of other men shave theirs military-butch short skin-tight high and tight. ugh. :eew: if they're gonna cut it that short they might as well just shave it all off AFAIC. I've never cared for such short hair, everybody else seems to think it's great.

Really, how long?

how long is mine? about halfway down my back, I'm not sure if it grows longer than that. how long is yours? :afro:

My hair is a little more than halfway down my back when wet or straight. But it's curly naturally. So I dunno.

I know. I just used the qualifier for my statement only. Unfortunately, most people equate unkempt with dirty, or disorganized (by their standards) as being dirty.

:) I knew what you ment.

oh good....I went into that 'gotta explain everything' mode I can tend to get into.

I know that feel.

That's why I'm here!! My wife actually thinks I having an affair because I'm o the forum and always checking emails. She's Chinese and most of what she reads can get confusing, so she just sees forum activity and emails and such. She's never seen me participate like this.

But, yeah, first place that when I explain things, people get it and don't resent it. I've also seen a lot of give and take here that I don't see in other places. Maybe we take each other at face value for what they say and not how it is said. Here, I can mess up the words or intent and it's (so far) not judged or belittled.

Why I hate anime:

Huge eyes with unrealistic colors
Small pointy noses
No lips except on adult females
Unrealistic facial expressions
Humongous, ugly ears (not all the time)
Unrealistic hair and hair colors
Often racist or stereotypical drawings of other races
The characters all could be the same person almost because the facial characteristics are too similar
Sound effects which are overdone

The biggest thing is really that the characters all look the same. So boring.

I personally am not a huge fan of Japanese culture anyway. I like their videogames, I like their food, but that's it. I don't dislike the people, I just am not really into their modern culture. Everything has to be "cute". Sometimes I just get sick of cute. The cuteness is overpowering.

I know some weeaboos think that the Japanese can do no wrong, but I try to stay realistic and open-minded about what is both good and bad about any culture, as they all have flaws. I do agree with you about their food and games, though I do like some of their anime. I actually love the unique hair colours and weird hair styles, but I completely agree with you that their appearances are all too homogenous, unless you look for unique drawing styles (there are a few).

This image fits perfectly with your sentiment!

That's a pretty funny example. I don't know everything about Japanese anime, obviously, but I'm sure there are some I would probably enjoy. I don't personally judge anyone that does like it, to each his own.

I think I liked most everything on SNL except Eddie Murphy.
I love androgynous names like Pat and Chris. I tend to live up to mine with my long hair and gender bending footware. I really enjoy a pleasant rush when someone "misteakingly" calls me "miss" or "maam".

I too, tend to go into an excessive amount of detail when I refer to something.

you know, it's funny, but the 'same face and body' on every character has applied to many artists in the cartoon industry. John Byrne would be a good example of this. His male and female characters could only be distinguished by hair and costuming. Otherwise, completely, visually, interchangeable. But, he was a force from the late 70's until the 90's when he just got stupid and lazy.

Oddly enough, I have had trouble condensing things for people. When I try to be brief, I tend to leave out important things that cause confusion. It's like I'm an dictionary and the term 'abridged' ain't in there.

It's not size of the earlobe about the money, its that the earlobe is not attached directly to the jawline. The small ears would mean you have a small vagina. Haven't heard small ears attributed to any male attributes yet.

my guess is that people with compact ears are smarter and wealthier than average.

That's me, I never seem to be able to "dumb it down" for the listener/reader. I will go into the most minute detail, and I just assume that the reader/listener wants to know the details as well. :(
