What flumoxes me is the way NT people talk all the time and most of it is not true anyway. It is so pointless. They talk whe there's nothing to say.

How they say "are you ok?".

If you are ok, it's like you have to say "thank you "

If you are not ok, they can't or won't "help"

If they do "help" , they act like they dragged my worthless corpse out of a burning building

"do you have a question?".

Questions are not morally superior to statements.

As if, if you have a question, the speaker has an answer.

"How are you doing?"

There are five emotions of "happy" is just one of them. Some precious lil "people" act so entitled , like they have a moral right to be "happy" at all times.

"Can you", like, if you can, you have to.

Overly worshipping formal education

Saying "interesting" or making it look like everything is "interesting". Not everything has to be :jester: interesting

Compliments are just as judgmental as insults

Asking personal questions, as if that makes you a better person. By showing interest.

The modern-day obsession with taking selfies, no matter how mundane the situation or location. I don’t get why this has become a thing. Why would I want to commemorate—and presumably post to a social media platform—a visit to Aisle 3 of the supermarket or my commute home on the average Wednesday?

Society enforced vanity of any sort always bothered me too. Social media created a wave of people with confidence problems and ego fragility a place to seek validation any place that can take a camera shot. It's dismal, it's annoying and the one time I tried it, I was laughed at for doing it.

Not. A. Fan.

How they act like everything is either completely good or bad.

"Helping", "hurting".

As if all "help" is equal.

The current counselor told me that "you were helping people eat" when I worked at a restaurant.

If I did not work there, someone else would have worked there. If nobody worked there, customers eat something else. If customers do not eat something else, they lose a couple pounds for a couple of days.

Nobody is going to drop dead. That otherwise would not have dropped dead. And dropping dead is not necessarily a bad thing. :skull: overpopulation :skull:

Is it weird that I actually like wearing formal attire?

Yeah. There's an afternoon radio program where I live that I listen to for news and weather, but it annoys me how much the host uses the word "interesting" to describe pretty much everything on the show. I joke that if I had a sip of very mildly alcoholic beer for every time she uses the word "interesting" during the show, I'd be very drunk by the end of the afternoon.

How they call women "girls" and they call boys "guys". (Sexist)

How they put clothes on their dogs

How they say someone is a "good person". (Situational versus dispositional)

How they are impatient and act like they constantly have to hurry. But then they just go watch TV or whatever

Entitled, impatient, careless bikers , pedestrians and drivers

How they travel in packs like wild animals

Because it relegates females to a perpetually intellectually and emotionally juvenile state in the mind of society, whereas the use of the term "guy" instead of "boy" represents the idea that a male must intellectually and emotionally mature as he ages.

However it should be noted the persistence of the term "girl" for sexually mature females likely derives from the idea that youth is an asset for females and is likely more a semantic attemp to preserve her value, and thus increase her status rather than demote her status.

Society sees it as a bad thing for a female to age, and a bad thing for a male not to.

In any case, at 38, I think it would be silly for anyone to call me a girl.

I think you're reading too much into it, not to mention the fact that men are also referred to as "boys" with something like the same frequency.

Of course they need to hurry so they can have more time for TV watching.

Retro gamer

Former precious lil "friends" had the nerve to tell me that "people in (city) do it all the time".

Jaywalking. She was so impatient that she suddenly darted in front of cars and acted like it was reasonable to expect me to follow her.

Absolutely not.

Maybe it should not have to be a personal favor , for her to not jaywalk.

Three weeks ago, saw a pedestrian hit by a car. The pedestrian was in the crosswalk. Broad daylight, not heavy traffic. Nothing like that.

The way some driver's drive.

Some people believe that pedestrians have  right of way :jester: . But cars going 25 mph can't stop in 2 feet, even with perfect driving.

And if the car stops, the car behind it could crash into it.

It's the former precious lil "friends' " entitled, egocentric, impatient attitude, that gets on my nerves :?

I don't understand capitalism. WHY would they want to destroy their entire planet for MONEY? They think it's reasonable to annihilate thousand year old beings who provide oxygen for all animal life on their entire planet because their BLUE JEANS ARE OUT OF STYLE.

And then if I mention this, they tell me how funny I am and say I should go into stand-up comedy so I can make a million dollars.

Because then, they think, I'll STFU because I'll have lovely, lovely, lovely money.

WTF?
