Not in response to anyone in particular, but I'd also point out that socio-economic status can influence whether someone gets diagnosed with AS or not, especially when there are so many inequities in educational resources. Autism is not exclusively a "Caucasian" thing; in fact "Caucasion" is a pretty bogus term. People in Europe often use it to refer to people from a very specific region, not all of Europe.

I don't know where the term negroid came from, though negro is a VERY old term referring to the color black. mongoloid refers to the fact that those people were first found in mongolia. Caucasion refers to the fact that caucasions were first discovered in the caucasus mountain range sometimes called caucasia. I guess even blacks(Sorry, that is the only term that can describe them in this context :? ) from there COULD be called caucasion.

the term Negroid applies to certain cranial or facial structures found in certain african peoples

Image

although it is not applied to all "black" people as some have distinctly "Caucasoid" features and others "Mongoloid" features.

Ethiopian with so called "Caucasoid features" -

Khoisan with so called "Mongoloid features" -

it should be noted that other people native to areas outside of Africa have so called Negroid cranial features including some Europeans, basically its just another flawed attempt to organise the human species into further categories.

Volga German on my Dad's side too. Rothammel specifically.
(We think that Dad's side is the Apergers side.)

I noticed the topic's been 'bumped' so I might as well add that the Normans, who
were indeed French,originally came from
Scandinavia (Norse men).
