if not for our puritanical upbringing when it comes to clothes, i bet you more autistics would want to be naked.

I haven't found a suit quite as comfortable as my birthday suit. clothing is constricting in comparison. in the summer evenings it feels good to feel the grass between my toes and the rarified night air caress my skin.

Even if total nudity suddenly became legal everywhere, I would still require footware outdoors due to my SPD, as I have very tender feet. I rarely go shoeless in the house unless I'm getting ready to bathe. Generally I use ballet flats for slippers, as I'm more comfortable with as little pressure on the tops of my feet as possible.

In addition I have contact allergies to most forms of vegetation.

luckily I have grass to walk upon but at a colony-like place I would also have to wear slippers at least.

I don't care that much, but other people seem to care so I wear clothing.

well then you need to be with others who don't care that much either.

I probably wouldn't mind if I were slim and not ashamed of my penis. I'd nonetheless be reminded more often of how crappy I feel for not having proper muscles, and this might even overcome my tendency to rationalize my laziness when it comes to working out by remembering something I was told strongly against it by someone I have to respect.

I've been strongly told all sorts of things against anything that could allow me to make a better use of my life---that's why I find it so hard to justify any attempt to stop miserably wasting it.

body positivity starts with you appreciating your body instead of trying to make it better all the time.

Then I don't want to be body-positive.

i really think that our puritanical body code has really taken a hit on lots of autistic americans, making them even more body shy than they otherwise would've been.

Because I want to make my body better than it is now, which isn't saying much. Appreciating it in its current state wouldn't serve my interests at all; it'd be an excuse to keep being lazy and wasting time, rather than do what I really want to do, so I refuse to change my view.

my meaning was that your body deserves to be taken good care of. when you get to be my age that will become alarmingly apparent, trust me on that. don't make the same mistakes I did, please.
